Convert PS3 console version saves to PC version saves.
由 chris100185 制作
This guide will walk you through the basic steps of converting a PS3 version save to a PC version save. At this time there is no way to convert Vita or PS4 version saves. However, saves from those versions can be shared to the PS3 version and then converted from there.

Introduction
The Steam release is the 4th release for Final Fantasy X|X2 HD remaster. Many people might have saves for the Vita version, PS3 version, or the PS4 version. Understandably, those people might not want to start over. For the PS3 version at least, there is a way to convert the saves from that version to a PC format save.

What you need:

A PS3
A PS3 copy of Final Fantasy X|X2 HD remaster
A USB drive formated to Fat32
PS3 Bruteforce Save Data version 4.7(Earlier versions may not work)

Note: At the present time there is no way to convert PS4 and Vita version saves. However, those versions have cross save status with the PS3 version. Copy the data from those versions to the PS3 version in order to perform this.

Note 2: This guide also works if you want to bring a PC save to the PS3, Just follow the guide backwards and encrypt instead of decrypt.
Obtaining the save
In order to use the save, first you must copy the save data over. If you already have the PS3 version, this is easy

1) From the PS3 dashboard, go to "Saved Data Utility(PS3)" under the "Game" section
2) Highlight the save you want, and hit Triangle.
3)Select copy, and then select the USB Drive.
Converting the save
Open up the file on your USB drive. It will be in a folder named "SaveData" within the PS3 folder. Open up the folder containing the game save and this is what you'll see.

You will need only two of these
PARAM.SFO
SAVES

The PARAM.SFO is only for Bruteforce Savedata setup. If you already have it, SAVES will be all you need.

Upon setting up BruteForce, point the SAVEDATA path to your PS3 save data folder and you should see a screen that looks like this

The green highlighted save is one that has already been decrypted. I'll be decrypting the one on the right. Simply highlight the save you want and hit the "decrypt PFD" button.

And that's it. You'll know you're good if a new text file appears in the save folder. Now locate your PC saves in

Documents\Square Enix\FINAL FANTASY X&X-2 HD Remaster\Final Fantasy X

copy the save in. You'll probably notice that the names are different. That's fine. Just rename the save to match the naming convention of the PC version "ffx_yyy"

And you're done.

Open up FF X, and the save should show up on your list. The active party member portraits may be a little wonky. You'll notice it only shows Tidus even though at that point Wakka has already joined. And you'll notice the 33 hour Mt Gagazet save that I converted earlier has a blank party list. This is fine.

Load the save. You'll be greeted with a warning that Tidus's name will be defaulted. Sorry to everyone who named him *** man.

After that. You should be in game

Enjoy FF X.

This is my first guide, and I put it together fairly quickly, if anyone has any suggestions to improve this, I'll be glad to hear them.

Special thanks to Orohu who put the idea out there.

Hello Chris100185 i know this is a old post but by any chance do you know where to get the brute force i can't seem to find one that is 4.7 or older.

Sorry for the late reply. It's been a while since I did this but IIRC The save to use should be the same save that was transported in from the PS3. The one named SAVES, once that's done all you should need to do is drop it into the folder with the PC saves. I'll run through this again later today to check it out.

Hey!!
Thank you for your tutorial. I did everything as explained and got the exact same green screen as you did on Bruteforce, but when i tried to load my save it said it was corrupted, can you help me please? How and where do you find the decrypted files?

Thanks in advance

The process is exactly the same, except the save name format is "ffx2_###" instead of "ffx_###"
