Sorry for being impatient, but will this be in the mark-a-route mod soon?

@Ink7 - what Tobse is talking about is using "shading groups" within Blender to alter the way the game or game engine recognizes a face or an edge and blends the lighting off of it. When you have "flat shade" - which is default" everything looks very boxy and the edges are very defined. When you select all the faces, vertexes, and edges and change the shading group to "smooth" - the game will actually try to blend the light that normally is an edge but will make it look rounder - even if it only has 4 sides like a normal cube. It is not perfectly rounded but gives off the appearances based on how the game is shading the object with the light presented. You can make an object seem a lot more rounder by adding more bevels which although increases tris can give you a more smooth and rounded object that needs way less geometry than making it that way. Here's some more info:

@Ink7 - Blender are recommend for that. Argh circles, I mean when you create poles or pillars in real life they are rounded tubes but as a lowpoly object you can use a cube instead of a rounded tube. Happy modeling

@tobse Thanks! I just went through a whole weekend learning Blender. But what do you mean with using cubes instead of circles?
Then when I have made the sign, how goes the technical part that makes it possible to intergrate it with "mark a route" (put the text on the empty signs in game?)
tobse  [skapare] 12 maj, 2016 @ 12:59
@Ink7 - It gave no stupid questions!. Well the Highway signs are complet created in Blender and I imported than to the asset editor. Actually it is not difficult to make a highway sign. on modeling make them low geometrie use cubes instead of rounded circles.

stupid question maybe, but is it hard to create own highway signs in asset editor? Is it how you make them?
tobse  [skapare] 11 maj, 2016 @ 11:03
@Feare - yes but i will now wait with a smaller version. Toni56a means he work for a better setup for the text scaling, maybe than I could set by myself and I could also add new signs.
