Yeah...I figured out what was wrong...they have to be done in the correct order...BUT if you screw up and do it in the wrong order...the game doesn't seem to reset them and let you try again - I had to quit the game and restart....once I did that, they started working correctly...

Can't work out what I'm doing wrong...the black cubes won't change colour when I shoot them...
