The Guide File aims to share informative and practical knowledge in using the Gem Editor to create missions for Assault Squad 2.
Videos are complimented by a downloadable mod file containing all the files used in the demonstrations. The Guide File assumes the viewer has limited prior knowledge, and aims to illustrate the many pitfalls encounterd and how to solve them. The video presentations could hardly be considered professional but are hopefully easy to follow and accessable to the novice as well as the more experienced.
Videos can be viewed in up to 720hd quality.

Reinforcements1 - enemy reinforcements
Covers placeing units on the map, making them enemy and causeing an enemy squad to spawn in when their numbers get low.
Reinforcements2 - reinforcement buttons
Builds on previous video and deals with basic setup of reinforcement buttons for the player.

If you are looking for the correct "image" name to use for your reinforcement buttons.

Vehicles

The best tip/shortcut i use for vehicles is to simply place one of the vehicles on the map that I am making a reinforcement button for. then select it, and in properties on the right hand side I find the "name". I highlight the "name" and press Ctrl + C to copy the name. This will be the "image" name to use.
I simply use Ctrl + V to paste the name ans use it as the name of the reinforcement button, the "image" name and the name of the "event" to be used at "eventStart" This saves a bunch of typing.

Humans

For humans you will notice the "name" in properties is always "human". But human reinforcemnt button names are reasonably generic. They will have a catagory and a faction worked into their naming convention. Here are two examples...

snipers(eng)
snipers(usa)
snipers(♥♥♥)
snipers(rus)
snipers(ger)

squad1(usa)
squad1(usa)
squad1(♥♥♥)
squad1(rus)
squad1(ger)

What are the Modifier Trigger Conditions called "Mod" (next to Mined and Sides), and how do they work? Someone designed a mission using one, and the mission doesn't seem to give you a victory, perhaps due to a fault in the Trigger design that uses this condition.

Sorry to bother you again, but I followed a mission pack, combined the three missions, yet none of the scripts start. Each mission has a camera pan followed by a timer and text, but it doesn't pop up. On one it skips it and after a minute starts the timer, but not on the other two. They work fine on their own.

Hi Jag, below is a link for a guide for creating mods. It's for "Call to Arms". But the process is basically the same. It should get you pointed in the right direction at least. You can always look at other existing mods for reference as well.

Hi, so I have three map/missions I want to put together into a single mod to post on the workshop, but I don't know how to put them all together and there aren't any tutorials out there to help.

@c.bundy99, Where the "source" says "standard". Click there and select "advanced". Then right click in the blank area to add options. Experiment.

In one of your clips you were able to add an option to exclude a tag in the entities conditions, but that option doesn't seem to be in my entities condition. How do I do it?
