This guide is an updated version of my original guide to disable controller vibration. The original guide was no longer viable since the files needed became unavailable.

Thanks to the wonderful people at Valve we can now disable controller vibration for any game using any controller right here on Steam!

Under "Settings" go to "Controller" and toggle "Game rumble" on or off.
