Be sure to read the note below about the Conversationalist achievement - it can easily be missed!

Welcome to the guide! You should unlock most achievements if you play the game thoroughly (look at and interact with everything, complete all conversations), but the below guide should help you catch the more obscure ones.

The most time limited missable achievement is Conversationalist, which relies on your having completed a certain action more than 20 times - if you miss the earlier opportunities, you may not have the chance to do it later in the game.

If the Timewaster achievement doesn't unlock immediately upon unlocking the last remaining other achievement, please try restarting the game.

Escape the MS Undeliverable

Meet the denizens of the Toff Races
Unmissable, story related.

Make sure everyone's a winner
Between sabotaging each of the Toff Racers, speak to Lucky Jack to start the race; this will allow each racer to win one round. In order, you should sabotage: Habanera; Fou; Cavendish. The achievement should pop once Admiral Woebegone wins.

Join the Merchant Navy
Unmissable, story related.

Make the lookout see a harmless tug boat
Once you realise you need the golden rapier, use the tug boat coaster you find in the pub on the lookout's telescope and tell him to look through the telescope.

Wrap your ears around all of Spry's groove
Outside the courthouse, stand and listen to all of Solomon Spry's song.

Catalogue all the stolen goods
Look at every item in the Cat Burglar's hoard.

Trounce Moses Melly first time around
Beat Moses Melly at the Great Game of the Sea the first time you play.

When two seashells come together
In your inventory combine the two shell phones.

Keep your eyes peeled in Chinatown
In Chinatown, look at the junk shop and the restaurant. Nelly should make a comment about the lazy writing.

Become an aromatic master manipulator
Speak to How Fat when his mood has been changed to anything other than angry, calm or generous using an Aye-Ching candle.

Don't forget to return what you borrow
Once you have shown the Encylopaedia Piratanica to Justice Groat, return to the teashop. Nelly will automatically return the book to Professor Morgan, and the achievement will pop.

Track down Widebeard’s Fowl Fleet
Unmissable, story related.

Shoot down all the varmints on your first attempt
Hit all the oranges, and avoid the innocents on your first try, when playing the shooting gallery

Interview the head Ptarmigan’s supporter
Speak to Brad the Ptarmigan's human perch on the beach of Gloomholm.

Take an interest in Gloomholm's deceased citizens
Look at all of Gloomholm's cemetery's headstones.

Fulfil an ancient prophecy
Unmissable, story related.

Find out what Sebastian thinks about 20 characters
Talk to Sebastian then "use" him on more than 20 characters to hear his comments on them. Note that you will sometimes need to select Sebastian then click to the other side of a scrolling room to find more people (e.g. for Justice Groat in Groat Manor).

Recruit an unexpected crew member
