First went with Soldier/Smuggler/Hacker/Void Psyker on hardcore difficulty. Leveled the party to 11 but ultimately I was turned off by VP's frequent tendency to inadvertently discharging the void energy. So I'm thinking about replacing VP with a cyberninja.
I really really want a guide to just that stuff. From what I've seen playing various things, some things get a chance based just on your class, but having points in a specific tree can make them automatic.
The docs on tne new cyberspace stuff are also ... nonexistent. I've learned that:
* The most important thing in combat is your deck's numerical ratings. Improved programs help, and having more than the default is necessary, but the same crappy 1.0 programs with a hot deck can do 3 or more times the damage.
* Having specific programs installed can give you better chances at actions in nodes, e.g. the Deception attack that raises your dodge also gives you better chances of recovering paydata. I do not know if it's enough to have them installed, or if they need to be equipped too.
Lol. Sigh.
