Check youre Firewall Options for:

Uplay.exe
UbisoftGameLauncher.exe
UbisoftGameLauncher64.exe
UplayService.exe
UplayWebCore.exe

Normaly they are Located here: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher"

All of them have to be Allowed in the Firewall. This easy Configuration fixed for me a Problem which i had 3 years.




//Überprüfe deine Firewall EInstellungen für:

Uplay.exe
UbisoftGameLauncher.exe
UbisoftGameLauncher64.exe
UplayService.exe
UplayWebCore.exe

Normalerweise sind die Anwendungen in diesem Ordner zu finden:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher"


Alle dieser Anwendungen sollten in der Firewall Zugelassen sein. Diese einfache Konfiguration hat für mich ein Problem gelöst welches ich nun seit 3 Jahren hatte.

Anyone experiencing that you cant launch the game, after uninstalling ubisoft, and reinstalling again?
When i press play, i get a super small frame on my screen, with a yellow curser, and then the game stops responding. I can only get out of that by restarting computer.
I even changed the firewall settings and tried running the game as administrator. I also tried making ubisoft being in offline mode, still not working.

This worked for me: from Sandman : to uninstall Ubisoft connect and Ubisoft launcher from add and remove programs. Then go to https://ubisoftconnect.com/en-US/ and install the new launcher.

I had to disable 2FA on the Ubisoft website to get it to work.

If you have error connecting to server, try this. As of June 29, 2021, i contacted ubisoft support. They had updated their launcher in 2020. You have to uninstall Ubisoft connect and Ubisoft launcher from add and remove programs. Then go to https://ubisoftconnect.com/en-US/ and install the new launcher. After that, game should start fine. The problem lies with steam (or perhaps the game) having you install the old launcher and then you get connection problems because it is out of date.

@phillip_pereira UbiSoft replaced literally all files basicly because Uplay doesnt exist like back when i wrote this Guide. Which is really bad for People who still have Issues with UbiSoft Games and their awful Launchers.

Tried this, the files listed no longer exist, issue still exists in 2021

Same problem here, I am not able open the game. I think the problem is the ubisoft system.

Well, it seems like Ubisoft changed a bit of their Settlers Games since the new Collection released. Do you try to Launch the Settlers 7 from a Disc or the Uplay Launcher?
