Gameplay basics.

Okay, if you don't know the best way in which to accumulate score in this game, it's quite simple. Use your scythe to chop down corn with the left mouse click. Use the left mouse click on trucks to deposit the corn you've built up. The important thing is when to deposit the corn.

In the top left hand corner you'll see a meter. It'll look like this:


There are 4 bars that fill up relative to the amount of corn you have.


In bar 1, after picking up your first piece of corn, each piece of corn is worth 2 points. By bar 4, the maximum level, which you'll hit when carrying 80 corn or more, you'll get 5 points per piece. It's therefore much more efficient to go for over 80 corn at a time. However, you move at your slowest once you hit bar 4, so continuing to collect corn for too long at this level is risky, and somewhat less efficient at this speed. The best time to drop off your corn into the trucks is around 120-220 pieces, and going higher than 400 is usually unnecessary.

Pick more than 1,000 corn. The number of stalks is cumulative, so you don't have to get them all in one game.

Pick more than 10,000 corn. One again, cumulative.

Pick more than 100,000 corn. By far the most time consuming of all the achievements. You'll likely get around 40,000 corn playing through every other achievement, so getting this last one takes patience. Still, you guessed it, it's cumulative.

Self explanitory. Turn in exactly 28 corn at once to a truck. Simple as that.

Turn in 50+ corn at once to a truck.

Turn in 100+ corn at once to a truck.

Turn in 200+ corn at once to a truck.




If you don't know what the achievement description means by "Nomsanto members" it's these guys that run around the field:



The aim is to knock them down, by attacking them with left click, as you would when harvesting corn. The best way to rack up numbers of Nomsanto members knocked down is to hit one, and wait behind them until they get up, immediately knocking them down again. When you hit Nomsanto members, they lose corn, and you gain it, making them often run away from you at great speed after getting up. The way to keep up with them is to press right click (which drops your corn) until all of it is gone, and you're back at max speed again. Then you can catch up and hit 'em again.

Knock down 20 Nomsanto members, with technique described above.

Knock down 40 Nomsanto members.

Knock down 111 Nomsanto members.

Knock down 300 Nomsanto members. Another time consuming achievment, but stick it out, it doesn't take as long as you'd think. Just pretend you're playing a Quake deathmatch or something, helped me take my mind off it.


You'll get achievements for your overall scores on a single round. The first is 2000 points total.

The second is 5000 points total.

The final is 8000 points total. This is where it actually gets difficult. Follow the technique I went through on the gameplay basics section at the top of this guide, and you'll get it eventually. I've got over 8500 before, so 8000 isn't an impossible figure to reach.

Miscellaneous Achievements

You're at your slowest speed when carrying 80 corn or more. This achievement is cumulative, so you merely have to be carrying over 80 corn for 10 minutes total over any number of games.

Find Margot. A little better hidden than most of the other achievements. Margot is a cat (cube thing?), randomly appearing on one of the barrels around the edge of the field. Margot will "meow" at you when you get close. She looks like this;
