Crash Fix
The problem: you get a crash to the desktop every 10 to 15 minutes.
You can stop the crashes by searching for XAudio2_7.dll , you will get probably 3 results. Move or rename the one in Windows/System32, and you will have no problem playing the game anymore.

you won't have sound during the UBISOFT logo video, but there are no other problems with this. (and with this guide by Sangius Deus you can even remove the useless intro video's)

update: This should also fix it as cloudLight suggested in the comments:

- disable UPlay overlay
- run directx setup from Support/Software/DirectX/DXSETUP.exe
- From the 'Services' tab of the task manager disable the "TabletInputService"

There's no service named 'TabletinputService' for me. Changing XAudio2_7.dll didn't help either. :/

To find the Support/Software/DirectX/DXSETUP.exe setup, you have to open the AC Unity files by right clicking ACU then opening local files

I found a fix; uninstall game and never play it again. Download Origins and/or Odyssey and enjoy.

When I tried this it was a semi-permanent fix. As long as you didn't update windows or DirectX it didn't put the original files back, but that was quite some time ago. Another user suggested a different fix in the comments, I have now added it to the guide, you could give that a try.

Is there not a permanent fix for this? If I restart my computer I have to go back and re-name it, it's not a big deal but if there's a fix so I don't have to do this over and over I'd like to know.
