WARNING!
Using these cheats DISABLES achievements.
Level Select
Level Select:
Go to the Level Select screen and enter the Konami Code.
(GamePad) Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start
(Keyboard) Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, X, Z, Enter

When you exit the level select screen (going back to main menu) it reverts back to what you had unlocked (it might keep the level open if you pass the level, needs investigating).



Cheat Menu
Cheat Menu:
Go to the Options screen and enter:
(GamePad) Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down, Down, Down, Start
(Keyboard) Up, Up, Up, Down, Down, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down, Down, Down, Enter

Alternatively you can earn the Cheat Menu by finishing the game.

The ????????? Cheat
In the Extras screen there is a "This Cannot Be Unlocked" option after the levels.



Access the Cheats Menu (see above section) and active ONLY the ????????? Cheat.



Now return to the Extras screen, the option "This Cannot Be Unlocked" is now "Director's Cut".



Director's Cut is starts off as a Missle Command style game, you begin in your normal craft but with only a handful of ammo, and at the start the enemy appears out of each corner firing Seeker Missiles that continually home in on your location. FIGHT TO SURVIVE!



If you manage to survive then there is more to Director's Cut. Let us know if you make it and screenshots of what comes after!

Arch Hippy You have made me SOOOOO happy!!! There's more to Director's Cut than Missile Command but you'll have to survive to see it. :steamhappy:

I think I've found what ????????? does. Activate it and NO OTHER cheats and "This cannot be unlocked" on the extras menu turns into "Directors cut." Give it a try. It's terrible.

@Hahaman, yes cheats do disable achievements ... otherwise it would be far too easy!

It turns out the mystery option is not a translator. If you complete the game with the secret ending, the purple alien text is translated in all future plays. This translation is automatic and can't be switched off.

Excellent! Sometimes it can be tricky cause of the timing, if you pause for too long in between commands it kind of times out and doesn't work.

@Austinlb55, you mean you can't access the menu? I just tried and it still works, are you entering the OPTION screen first THEN inputting the commands?
