The key to success in Eternal Fate is using the elements to your advantage. There are 5 Elements in Eternal Fate: Fire, Nature, Water, Light and Dark.

The three primary Elements in Eternal Fate are Fire, Water and Nature. These elements have distinct strengths and weaknesses against the other elements: Fire is strong against Nature, Nature is strong against Water and Water is strong against Fire. When a Fire-Element Hero battles a Nature-Element monster, the Hero will deal more damage to the monster, while a Fire-Element Hero battling a Water-Element monster will deal less damage.

Light and Dark are special elements: they deal slightly more damage to monsters of the Primary elements and deal significantly more damage when pitted against each other. However, Light-Element and Dark-Element Heroes will deal no additional damage when battling monsters of a similar element.

The Element of a loadout is determined by the lead Hero in the loadout who you will control in the many dungeons of Eternal Fate. Each dungeon only contains enemies of a single Element and is indicated before entering a dungeon, so be sure to note the Element of the dungeon and switch to a suitable Loadout before heading into battle.

Your loadout's Element potential is indicated by the Elemental Bonus in the Heroes panel, which is represented by a percentage. The higher the percentage, the less damage you'll incur and the more damage you'll deal. Elemental Bonus is increased by inserting multiple Heroes of the same element into a loadout, and decreased by inserting incompatible characters into a loadout. The amount Elemental Bonus increases or decreases depends on the rarity of the Hero; with Common Heroes providing the least Elemental Bonus, and Ultra Rare Heroes the most.

Maximizing your Elemental Bonus and correctly using the Elements against your enemies will allow you to decimate your foes!
