Can you get profit by opening cases?
Yes, you can. It's like playing casino. Sometimes you get lucky. Sometimes you don't.
Chance of getting one of these is like... 0,44%
But you're more likely getting ♥♥♥♥ almost 80% of the time.
Case opening - Is gambling.
In my opinion case opening should be aged at 18.. Because it's gambling..
It's like going to a casino. Example underneath.

CSGO: You spend money on a key. Let's just say the price is 3$. And you open a case. What do you get? Bad item worth 0.06. This results in a loss of 2.94$.

CASINO: You bring 30$ with you to the casino. You play 6 times in blackjack. You Loose 5 times & win 1 time. Which is an loss of 20$, even tho you won a single time.

CSGO - CASE OPENING IS GAMBLING! DON'T DO IT UNLESS YOU'RE 18+!

Since CS:GO is for people of an age of 16+/17+, it's irrelevant to ask if it's okay if 14 year old kind spend money on it. With the of 16/17 you should be able to tell if it is okay in your position to spend money on it, and when you should stop doing it. I agree with Kenen.
Nice info anyways, even though the only relevant data you gave me is the RAW-data, which you just copied. Keep up the good work!

BTW: You just missed important info on what money he got back doing this caseopening.
How do we know that not all of the 9 knifes he got are Karambit | Crimson Web ST FN?

First of all, a comparison between casino gambling and CSGO case openings is completely irrelevant, with what you're saying all Chuck-E-Cheese centers should be closed as well, because the children pay for coins to play with, and lost a lot of the times, what about the claw machines which kids put coins in to for a CHANCE to get a teddy bear? You're telling me that is gambling as well? Second of all, it's their money, they can do what they want with it as long as it's legal.
