First you should open the batcomputer, and scroll through the pages of heroes or villains. If you find something on a character that looks cool, then create the character and place him in your utility belt, or you can write it down on a paper, so you are sure you don't forget the name of the character. If you want to be really creative with your heroes and characters, then do this a lot!

Find a hero, villain, or any kind of creature you want to have as the base. (It must depends of the part of the creature that can't be deleted, it's peronality, or the form of the creature. if none of this matters, then just take a random hero or villain.) I chose russian armor cyborg, because he's a hero, and he has a part that can't be deleted, that i need.

Good, so now you are in the editor. There's a button, that my mouse is hovering over on the picture:

Press that button and these green boxes will appear. They show where you can place the bodypart that is supposed to be there. If you want an other chestplate, head, some other arms or legs, you will need to drag them over to the trashbin.





Now where there was limbs, there are now green squares, you need to move them out of the way, so they don't touch eachother. You now need to go to the utility belt, or look at your notes, and look at the limbs of the heroes/villains, and remember their names, and then write them in the notebook in the editor.(press N) When you write a characters name, this menu will pop up:



Now choose what limb you will choose, and place it perfect on the square that you need it to be on. You will notice, that when you choose a limb from an object, you will go in a menu, simular to the other, just with a lot of other limbs and clothes to choose from. Try not to take only parts from there, because then your masterpiece will look like this:


When youre done with placing all the limbs on the squares, just move them together perfect, so all the limbs look perfectly placed. If they are too small or big, just press the plus or minus buttons on your left, to change the size of them.





Now look at the character you just made. Then ask yourself: 'is this gonna look good when i paint it?'. If the answer is no, then change some of the limbs so they fit to the design, and remember: Colour doesn't matter right now. If the answer is yes, then move the limbs away from each other again.

When you have taken the limbs away from each other, you need to colour them. Click on the button with the paintbrush on it. Now you will see a lot of colours pop up. If you want to choose your colours more precisely, you need to press the palette on the top left corner of the colour menu. You can choose your colours there. You should choose a dominant colour and a decoration colour. So the dominant colour will cover big areas and the decoration will fill just the right places, so it looks great. Of course you can choose more colours, but it if you only have 2 colours, it will be a lot easier to know where to put them. I chose black as the dominant colour and red as the decoration.

In the menu, you will also see a star button. It shows what colours you have used earlier. There's also a button in the menu that lets you choose special textures you can paint with. When you're done colouring just leave your design as it is. No more details are needed.

In the menu, you'll also see a button with a hand that's holding a lightning. Press it and a menu like this should pop up:

You can buy superpowers in there. You need points from other places to buy superpowers. The superpowers the menu doesn't enclude witch is in the game is superstrength, superspeed, lasereyes, icebreath, invincibility, and flying. All these except lasereyes can be added in the scripting.

The button in the right buttom of the screen is the scripting. Press it and this menu will pop up:

Here you can choose, what other objects think your hero is, how much health it has, and what it sounds like. You can also choose how much it weighs, if it's gonna float and if it's gonna be static or not.




The next category is fire:

Here you can choose if the object gets hurt if burned, explodes if getting burned and if it's gonna keep burning.





The chategory after that is electricity:

Here you can choose if the object is shocked if tuching electricity, shocks other objects if tuching electricity and if it generates its own electricity. If you say it generates its own electricity, and then say it shocks itself and/or other objects when electrified, it will flash with yellow colours all the time, so don't do that.

The next one is weapon:

Here you will choose if the object will punch, chop, be throwed, be throwed and explode, shoot a projectile, shoot a projectile that explodes, explode and be used as a cannon. you should not use the punch or chop on a humanoid, because then it will just deal damage without any animations, and we don't want that. I'll cover how to make the hero deal damage and do an animation later in this tutorial.

The next chategory is container:

Here you can choose if there's gonna be an object inside it or you can put objects inside it. There's diffrend container sizes, so pick the size you want to have. (if you want) If it's not a container, and there's still an object inside it, you can empty it but not fill it agian.

Now press the arrow in the left buttom of the screen.

Then there's movement:

In movement, you can choose how the superhero moves when driven, when equipped and when alive, and also the speed and jump height of the superhero. You can fiddle with this all you want, but you have to notice, that the superhero's legs won't move faster, when you set the movement speed up. If he/she has maximum speed, it will look a little weird. (not too weird so don't worry too much about it)

The next is equipment:

Here you can choose, your superhero can wear hats, glasses and backpacks, if he can pick things up and be sat apon, and if you can wear him or pick him up. It's inportant to visit this tab, because the button that makes you able to pick it up will sometimes automaticly be turned on, if you mess around in the weapon tab.

Then there's Behavior:

Here you can choose how the superhero is gonna react to other objects and npcs. You just have to press the 'add behavior' button, and choose how he/she is gonna react, and what object they react to. You can't choose a specific object, or a custom object though. Only chategories. You can also choose superheroes, but it doens't work sometimes, and is a little complicated. The behavior system is also a little buggy sometimes. Remember, that you can't choose a villain, for example bane and make him a hero. He will attack superheroes, and that's hard to change.

The next one is Special:

The first thing you can here is choose an object, that hangs from your superhero. It can be weird sometimes, but i think you can use it to make a cape on your superhero. As far as i know, there's no way to make npcs spawn with an item equipped. You can spawn equipment besides them, but you have to put it on, when you create them. If you want an object hanging from your superhero, type in the object you want to hang from it and go into edit mode again. You can see the object with a blue square around it. You can place other things inside the square, and you can colour the object. You can also select an object, that follow your creation like a storm. check the box, if you want that. When you have chosen an element, try to go into edit mode to see, how it looks. You can also put wheels on it. You can choose what kind of wheel, and how many. You can also make the wheels npcs, but you can't control them, and if they get scared, they will bug a little out. try to pick a good type of wheel, if you want one.

The last one is Scripting:

In scripting, there's a LOT you can do, and i'm not gonna show you that much of it for now. But i'll try to learn you how to experiment with it. First you need to know how it works, if you don't already. Click the 'When this object' button. A menu will pop up. Choose one the varibles. Let's just start with 'is created'. Then press 'it will'. Then we'll pick 'add an adjective'. You will see, that there's a button on the right of the 'add an adjective' varible, we just created. Most of the varibles have this button. Press it, and a menu pops up. The first thing you can choose, is if this affects 'self' or 'trigger target'. Self is the object or hero, and trigger targert, is the one who triggered the event. We'll just use 'self'. Then you can choose what adjective, it's gonna add. We'll type 'invincible'. Now when your superhero is created, he will be invincible. Remember, that adding and removing adjectives uses the superhero, like it was a tool or a weapon, and he will turn green for a splitsecond. If he does this a lot of times, he will turn red, and die. So don't use that too much. It's ok to do it, when he/she is created, because then your he/she will only use it once. You don't need to add an adjective, when your superhero spawns, and if you want to, it doesn't need to be 'invincible'. Here's a list of adjectives, that are good for superheroes, or villians:
-Invincible
-Firebreathing
-Icebreathing
-Deadly
-spiky
-flying (you should just use the movement tab for flying, but you can use it in more complicated conditions)
-Fast
-Superfast
-Laser
-Healing
-Super

I will also show you a cool trick, that makes your hero/villain much more invincible, than just adding the adjective 'invincible'. First click on the 'When this object' button. Find 'is destroyed'. Then click 'it will' Then click add adjective. Make sure that the adjective is added to 'self'. Type cloned in the textbox. And then you're done! Your creation now respawns instantly, when it dies.

Then as i said, i'm gonna show you how to make your superhero/villain deal more damage, and play an animation. First Click 'when this object'. Then find 'reacts to an object'. Pick it, and click the button on the right of the varible. Change the reaction to 'destroy', if it isn't already, and then click 'it will'. Find and pick 'deal damage'. Press the button on the right, and choose how much damage it deals. When you're done, click 'it will' again. Find and pick 'play an animation'. Click on the button on the right, and choose the animation 'attack'. And then you're done!(again)

There's also another varible i want to talk about. It's called 'express an emotion'. It let's you pick one of those speech bubbles, with emotigis in them. It can be really useful for letting people now, what your hero, whants to say or feels.

To publish your hero, just go in the hero creator, and click on your creation. Then click on the steam button in the right bottom corner. A menu will pop up. Here you can write a description for your object, add tags and publish it. Remember that you can't write numbers in scribblenauts and there's a text limit. The description will also be written in capslock. If you want to change this, upload your creation, and then change the description with steam.

There's one last tip i have to tell you before i finnish. If you want to be really good at scripting, and making good objects and heroes, just experiment with it! I do it all the time, and i think it's fun to break the game sometimes.(i have made MANY objects that crash the game on purpose. Don't worry, it's in the description) It's one of the reasons i have played the game hundreds of hours.
