Haunter, the spooky spectre! This lets you play as the Pokemon Haunter in Don't Starve Together.

Health 90
Hunger 110
Sanity 230

Incorporeal - Avoids half of incoming attack damage
Likes night, hates day
Has no body!

Haunter's incorporeal ability always halves incoming combat damage. Additionally, Haunter floats above the ground, and doesn't have any movement speed changes due to terrain.

Haunter has sanity drain during day and dusk, and sanity gain at night. Spend the night in complete darkness to supercharge sanity, but don't get spooked by the Night Monster!

Haunter has no body. This means it can't wear any item that goes on the body. No backpacks, no armor, no amulets, and no weather gear!

In "ghost" form, Haunter becomes Gastly.

I don't quite have this one done yet. I'd like to remove the footstep sound effect in an update.

love the concept but there's a few glaring problems. First off nice touch with the dialogue, but when I inspected a mandrake he said the regular character line. I think the losing sanity during the day bit is a nice touch, but does it need to extend to the evening? Otherwise you're insane and dying 90% of the time and the other portion of time you're running away from Charlie. Maybe incorporate a slow buildup in the evening and night near a fire and a fast buildup in complete darkness? I also tried to put on a grass suit to test out what you said about him being unable to do so and my game crashed. Other than that however I think you have something really cool to offer! Good job so far and keep it up!

I am encountering a minor glitch while moving over roads as Haunter. Only over roads, his progress is set back periodically as though by a lag spike in some MMOs; he suddenly teleports backwards from time to time. Can this be fixed?

This is a much more difficult mod than any of the other character mods I have tried. The daytime sanity drain is very fast, and having only sanity regeneration in the danger of pitch darkness to make up for it leads me into extremely low sanity very quickly. In addition to this, the lack of a body slot is a further huge disadvantage.

Truly a worthy challenge-mode character.
