Did your friend mount CS:S? Installing it isn't the only step. Stupid question, I know, but as often as I have to ask that and the answer is "what's mounting?" it's par for the course.

There are errors scattered around the map, is there a specific game or addon i need to dfix this?

It's likely that you need a source game with the necessary models and textures.

Load a map first then do changelevel to this one and see if it works. It works fine for me.

well im having the same problem of a CTD when attempting to start? you said addon conflict when someone else said the same thing happened to them.
