Right click game name in steam library.
Step 2
Click properties.
Step 3
Uncheck "Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game".
Step 4
Click Close.

Before following your directions , I also run the DirectX update in the game files and it was perfect for game with no crash for more 3h game ! :sfsmile:
