How do I use the field of view changer?
The field of view changer by AgentRev is an extremely simple tool to use. Simply run the tool, select either Single Player or Multiplayer, input the field of view you want and click start game.

The tool also allows hotkeys which you can use to change the FOV or reset it to default while the game is running. This way you can easily find the FOV that's right for you without having to quit the game and reboot just to see the changes.
Can I get banned for using this field of view changer?
You cannot get banned for using the field of view changer. Myself and many others have played this game for many hours with this field of view changer and none have gotten banned. Infinity Ward confirmed they weren't banning players using the field of view changer back in 2012, they also confirmed Valve won't ban for using it either.



There was reports of users getting banned for setting the field of view way too high, but it wasn't at a playable field of view anyway, so try to keep the field of view below 100. I'd recommend 80/90.
What does changing my field of view actually do?
Changing your field of view means you can see more on your screen. By default the game is at 65 field of view, which for many PC players is way too low.

When you increase your field of view, everything on your screen becomes more visible and it looks a lot nicer. You can see comparison shots below.

On the left is the default 65 field of view. On the right the field of view is set to 90.

i checked the link for the fov changer and it doesnt work is there an alternative?

Guys, Switch to Plutonium For MW3 MP. Along with Blops 2, 1 & WaW. Those old Peer 2 Peer servers have massive exploits that IW didn't care to ever fix. People can grab your IP. Send a DDOS into your line as well as reset your entire rank and earnings on regular MP Lobbies.

Takes 10 minutes to install and this tool here helps us get a proper FOV. There is even proper controller support now integrated for those who'd like to play the old games like it was on a 360. Aim assists etc work just the same as console versions.

Please do a bit of research into the state of the old games before accusing a guy who made a guide for software they didn't even produce. It's totally safe to use and is still used with Plutonium users to this day (Jan 2025)

Never use those official P2P servers on COD again unless you want potential hackers gaining info and destroying any progress you made back in the day. The community is much larger and these are safe dedicated servers instead.

just read this & have not used this Fov changer.
yet I have had my progress re-set to zero.
all progress gone, like when 1st installed the game.
this has happened many times, at very varied intervals.
so as the auther TJGM said, the Fov changer can't be the reason.

i need to get MW3 back it was hacked get MP5 issue someone reset my weapons and cant get in game Please help

I'm almost positive it's a hacker in the lobby doing it, it's not the mod.
