Foreword
This guide is not complete, so not all of the achievements for the game will be shown here. Most of them, however, will be in this guide.
I hope this helps a few people.

Guide updated Nov 8, 2016. Should be fairly complete now, although there are multiple ways to accomplish many tasks.
And so it begins...
This is the easiest achievement, being that all you have to do is start a new game from the main menu.
Foreshadowing?
"He shot you? That wasn't supposed to happen..."
Get in front of your brother while he's shooting the bottles during the tutorial. He'll "accidentally" shoot you.
BOOM! Hatshot!
Shoot someone's hat off for the first time.
To do this, you have to get a headshot with your pistol. Doing so with any other weapon (excluding the rifle) will cause the enemy to die instead.
Hat Trick
A Wild West game referencing Annie Oakley? Unbelievable!
Get three hatshots in a row.
Daddy's Girl
Finish the Mourning Daughter's quest.
She wants you to clear the graveyard of bandits. The graveyard is two spaces north of Clintville, and the bandits will turn hostile on you if you get to close to them. Clear the area of bandits, and return to the Mourning Daughter.
Her reward is a clue as to who the murderer is.
Vagrant
The achievement description is rather self-explanatory. Explore 50% of the map.
all though this isn't really 50% of the map
Explorer
The achievement description is rather self-explanatory. Explore 100% of the map.
Though, once again, this isn't really 100% of the map
To the Stars
Now the achievement is self-explanatory. Just explore some more, that's it.
We Blame Math
Explore anything and everything. I think the exact percentage is around 160%.
Tip: The Murderer's Hideout counts as parts of the map, so don't despair if you don't get the achievement when exploring all of the Wild West.
Motormouth
The main way to get this achievement is to talk to people, a lot of people. I don't recall the exact number, but you basically just need to talk to a very large amount of people. Doesn't matter who.
The Gun does the Talking
Draw your gun in the middle of conversation! All the time!
50 times, that is.
Swap-a-lot
To get this achievement, you have to get the miner's hat from the Old Miner in Clintville.
To do so, you have to make a comment about his hat when you talk to him. He'll tell you that you can have it if you get him an old ticket from the Ticket Holder in Clintville Station. Ask the Ticket Holder for train tickets, and he'll give you one.
Return to the Old Miner, and give him the ticket. He'll then give you his miner's hat, and warn you not to lose it. (however, once you get the miner's hat it'll be available for sale at the Haberdashery)
Mad Hatter
You need to unlock every hat in Miss Hatt's store, by doing the following(order should not matter):

- Find 3 helpers for Miss Hatt and return to her store. Unlocks cool hat, bowler hat and top hat.
- Get the miner's hat from the miner in Clintville(See Swap-a-lot). This automatically unlocks the miner's hat.
- Get the indian hat(do the indian questline, shoot it off an indian's head, or play as the indian), and bring it to Miss Hatt(ask if current hat is in stock).
- Shoot the super hat(hat the sheriff wears, can find on other NPCs as well) off someone's head and bring it to Miss Hatt(ask if current hat is in stock).
- Shoot the mexican hat(hat that Brit wears, can find on other NPCs as well) off someone's head and bring it to Miss Hatt(ask if current hat is in stock).

Completed store should look like this:
Collector
Luckily, you don't have to unlock all the weapons in one playthrough. Just buy them all once.
You unlock the tomahawk by helping the Indians.
Fashionable Avenger
Buy some clothes at the store in Clintville Station.
Because you absolutely have to dispatch justice in style.
Sherlock
Learn so many clues about the murderer so that you know exactly what he looks like.
Now it's time for vengeance...
Friendly Fire
Shoot your uncle.
You murderer.
Self defense?
This achievement is another one of the easy ones to get.
Just kill a couple people. This could be bandits, non-named NPCs, anyone really.
Paranoia
Leading off of the "Self defense?" achievement. Kill even more people.
Psychopath!
Do this like GTA, and go out and kill a ton of people. This can be anyone. (I personally recommend it being bandits)
I shot the Sheriff
"Now where is that deputy?"
This achievements pretty easy but jeopardizes a lot. All you have to do is shoot the sheriff.
Shifty Eyed Buffalo
Kill a ton of buffalo. Preferrably ones found out in the wild, as killing any of the ranchers or forts buffalo will have them turn hostile.

It wasn't even wearing the right hat...
Hold on there, empty bottle
"Where do you think you're going?"

There are bottles everywhere. They are colored orange on the bottom half. Shoot them.
Lots of them. All the time. Clearly, they work for the murderer.
Herpetophobia
In Clintville, there are lizards on the walls.
Shoot them, they work for the Murderer. Trust me.
My Precious
"You sneaky little hobbitses...."
During the carriage delivery mission (given to you by the banker) make sure the bandits take not one single package.
If a bandit grabs a package, it doesn't matter if you shoot him. The package is lost anyway, and it's over.
Reuniting Petey
In the mines there is a Ghost Miner. Accept his quest to lead him to his pickaxe Petey.
Petey the Pickaxe is a glowing pickaxe, so it shouldn't be that hard to find. When you lead the ghost to Petey, the ghost will give you a clue and then go into the Afterlife.
Loserface
Lose at 5 Hand Poker 5 times.
You can play 5 Hand Poker at any of the saloons in Santa Anna or Clintville.

Don't worry, we've all lost at Poker...
P-P-P-Pokerface
You have to win a round of poker 5 times.
Unhappy Couple
During the quest given to you by the lady before the Mine Entrance, convince the Lost Miner to return to his wife (I think you have to pull your gun on him during a part of the conversation).
I'm not Dr. Phil or anything, but they look unhappy...
Better Apart
During the Mines Lady mission (I don't have a better name for her), and you find the Lost Miner, simply return back to the wife and tell her that he is dead.
It's best for them, anyway.
Home sweet home
Buy the Riverside Mansion from one of the bankers dressed in grey, whether through the help of Miss Tressabell or not.
Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo
"The number of buffalo was absurd"
Keep all the buffalo alive during a buffalo ride.
Tip: If you see a bandit prepare to shoot one of the buffalo, get in front of him as quickly as possible. You might take a hit, but at least the buffalo's safe.
Buffalo Inc.
After helping Rancher Bob with his buffalo ride, he will ask if you want another job.
This job is to gather all the other ranchers (Bell, Cobb, and Richard) for protection reasons.
You don't need to do much to convince Richard, just say that Bob is making a franchise.
To convince Cobb, you just need to tell him about the franchise.
Convincing Bell is the hard part. It's hard to understand what he says, so while talking to him if he asks if you really mean what you said, say that it isn't and start over the conversation with him again (just choose different choices)
Once all the ranchers are gathered, return to Bob.
My Rancher's Keeper
Keep Bob, Cobb, and Bell alive during the mansion raid. You can quit to the main menu if one of them dies to start the raid over again.
Rancher Mansion
Help Rancher Bob takeover the Oil Tycoon's mansion. If Rancher Bob loses all his hats during the raid, he will retreat and the mission will fail.
Dr. Johnston & Mr. Bob
After helping Rancher Bob takeover the Oil Tycoon's mansion, immediately go over to his ranch.
Find Richard, and put him out of his misery, then go back to Rancher Bob. Rancher Bob will talk about how it doesn't really matter. Agree with him, and mostly go along with him. If you go against him, you will not get this achievement.
You'll get the achievement after the conversation.

EDIT: I believe the actual unlock requirement for this is to go through both dialogue options with Bob after taking over the ranch(both the "good" and "bad" routes, like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde). This would require 2 separate rancher runs. If anyone can confirm/deny this, please post in comments.
More than a Few Fists Full of Dollars
Be a nice, kindly man and deposit 2000 greenbacks into Clintville's bank.
A Taste for Bug Juice
Become an alcoholic, and drink at least 5 glasses of alcohol at any saloon.
The Fourth Wall
Go to the hidden movie set on the map.
Map Location[i.imgur.com]
Hidden Spot[i.imgur.com]
Transcontintal
When talking to the Ticket Salesman, ask for a train timestable. When he asks if you are part of the Transcontinental Express, say you are. Surprisingly, he'll believe you.
Kadekedeng Kadekeng, OEH OEH!
Get the trains back running again.
To do this, you have to do the three quests given to you by the Train Master in Clintville Station.
1. Clear the tracks of bandits. You can pay them off, kill them, or recruit them as deputies. They will also be cleared if you succeed in all the escort missions.
2. Get three people to clear the tracks. The gravedigger, old miner and ranchers will all help if asked, along with some male citizens.
3. Visit the tracks where the rubble used to be.
4. Talk to the Ticket Salesman about the train timetable, then tell the Train Master. This step can be performed in any order.

After a while, the trains will get back to running again. Check Clintville Station periodically and when you see a train, the achievement should pop up.
You'll also meet your sister, who will help you with another achievement.
Ending the Drought
Do your Sister's (or brother's, if you're playing as the sister) quest.
1. Talk to them at the Train Station.
2. Talk to them at your old burned-down home.
3. Talk to them at Fort Motors.
4. Talk to them at the Graveyard.
5. Talk to them 1 screen east of Santa Anna Station.
6. Talk to them at Lake Santa Anna, to the far Northwest.
7. Talk to them at Santa Anna.
Be Prepared
To get this achievement, you must help the Union prepare for battle with the Indians.
To do this you have to do the Buffalo Ride mission, and the Hat Delivery quest (give to you by Lt. Fort)
Roam Free Buffalo!
Unless you don't care if Rancher Bob, Cobb, Bell, and Richard hate you and want to kill you, do this mission after the Rancher Franchise mission. Alternatively, negotiate with Cobb and Richard, then release the buffalo at the fort(this will however, anger the soldiers).
Shoot the locks on the gates in the rancher's areas. Then herd the buffalo out of the pens, and out of the gates.

Viva la Buffalo!
Let My People Go!
After helping the Indians free the buffalo, they ask you to go to war with them.
Go to the Chief's Brother (above the eastern forest) and give him the token the chief gave you. Go south to the military blockade, and kill the waves of Union soldiers that attack you.
Clindianville
After helping the indians free the buffalo and take over the military blockade, they ask if you can help them take over Clintville. Accept.
During the takeover of Clintville, all Clintvillians turn on you. You have to kill all of them (this is an easy way to earn the Paranoia and Psychopath! achievements). After helping the indians takeover, the chief will give you a tomahawk and you will unlock the Indian playable character.
Why Can't we be Friends
First, you have to help the Union or the Indians. Help the Union with their buffalo drive and the hat dellivery, and after each delivery ask Lt. Fort if there is a peaceful option. After helping the Indians and the chief talks about going to war, say that there can be peace. He will tell you to give a token to take to his brother in the eastern forest.
Now you can go to the chief's brother. Whatever you say, the chief's brother will not believe you. Go down to the military blockade, and there will be a small cutscene. The Indians and the Union won't fight, and there will be peace between the two.

Note: You can free the buffalo from the fort and anger the soldiers but if Lt. Fort has already agreed to peace the cutscene will still trigger. The soldiers will be friendly after the peace treaty.

It's too bad that they will probably be forced off their land anyway...
Group Hug
Unlock all the playable characters.

Hero: You start off with him.

Bro: Beat the game by killing the Murderer.

Sis: Restore the trains. She'll be found in Clintville Station when the trains are back running.

Indian: Take over Clintville with the Indians.
The Clintville Couple
Finish the Concerned Wife's quest. She is found outside a house to the right of the saloon.
She wants you to get her drunk husband back to her. To do this, go into the saloon and talk to the Drunk Husband to the right. Try to get him to go home, and he will refuse. Talk to him again, only pull your gun on him this time. He will then follow you back to his wife.
Talk to the Concerned Wife, and she will give a new hat.
Lost & Found
Basically, you have to kill or arrest a couple bandits. On the walls in the sheriff's office there are posters hanging about. Walk up to any one of them, and press E on the poster for the bandit you want to take down.
When you have to bring a bandit in alive, shoot his hat off and lead him with your gun to the sheriff.
If a bandit's wanted dead, just kill the bandit. The Undertaker will then come out of nowhere and give you the reward.
Make him Work for it.
You have to make the sheriff help you with the two carriage protection missions and the buffalo ride.
In order to get him to help you with the buffalo ride, you have to talk to the Oil Tycoon (pull your gun on him when he says he doesn't have a job for you).
Here's the order of missions you should do.
1. Carriage Protection - Go to the Banker in Clintville and ask if he has a job. Accept the job, and go to the sheriff. Ask the sheriff you need some help protecting the carriage, and then do the carriage protection mission.
2. Hat Delivery - Go to Fort Motors and talk to Lt. Fort. Simply talking to her will give you this mission. Before delivering the hats, ask the sheriff if he can help you protecting the carriage.
3. Buffalo Ride - Once the sheriff has regained his courage, you can now ask him for help with the buffalo ride. He'll accept.

Once the sheriff has at least ACCEPTED to help you with these three missions, you'll get the achievement.
Wallowing in Failure
Sheriff's worse than when you met him.

1. New game
2. Go to Clintville & speak with Banker
3. Then go to Fort Motors & speak with Lt. Fort
4. Go back to Clintville and help Concerned Wife
5. Go to Sheriff and chat
6. Sheriff asks you to help Bob. Now go to Oil Tycoon.
7. Speak with Oil Tycoon boss (select "Got a job?" then draw a revolver)
8. Go to Santa Anna and FIRST speak with Miss Hatt.
9. Next you need to speak with Driver (Select "I'm on behalf of Miss Hatt)
10. Go to Sheriff and tell him you need help WITH banker delivery
11. Go to Driver again, begin hat escort mission
12. Fail the mission (do not shoot the unarmed thieving bandits)
13. Speak with Sheriff again
14. Go back to Driver again, begin banker escort
15. Fail the mission
16. Wait a short break and try again
17. After completing those tasks you should be left with OPTION "Oil Tycoon is planning"
18. Draw revolver and load it to convince Sheriff
19. Once convinced head to Rancher Bob
20. Fail the mission (shooting the buffalo yourself is the fastest way, shotgun is extra fast.)
21. Speak with Sheriff

(Thanks Coverop!)
Magnificent Seven
"You forget one thing. We took a contract."
When looking for deputies for the sheriff, go to the Beefhead Buffalos.
During the Oil Tycoon questline you can tell them you're working for the Oil Tycoon, or during the Banker questline you can tell them to protect/rob a carriage.
Either way, they'll become your friends afterward. Try to convince them to become deputies for the sheriff (if you fail, you can always try again). Once they start following you, the achievement should unlock.

Note: If you succeed in too many escort missions the Beefhead Buffalos will quit and set up their burger shop.
Dapper Deputies
Once you have the Beefheads working for you (see "Magnicifent Seven" for details) lead them to the sheriff. When trying to convince the sheriff to take them in, pull a gun on him when given the chance to say "give the gang a chance".
Former Glory
To help the sheriff regain his courage, you need to ask for his help during the following missions (in order)
1. The Banker's carriage protection
2. The hat delivery
3. The buffalo ride
Golden Buffalo
Collect all the golden orbs then go to the sacred ground west of the Indian Camp.
See this guide for orb locations.
Even if it's gold, I am still not touching that thing's ♥♥♥♥...
My Waifu
Complete Miss Tress' quests (including buying the house) and this achievement should unlock.
Everyone's Waifu
Do Miss Tress' questline in order for this ending to be achieved.
Once the murderer is bleeding out, talk to him.
Rancher Waifu
1. Talk to the Miss Tress at Sheriff's Office & Clintville's Saloon & Rancher Bob's & Oil Tycoon Mansion.
2. Complete the mansion attack with Rancher Bob. Go talk to Richard by not talking to Bob before this.
3. Go back and talk to Bob.
4. Go to her lodge outside of Clintville.
Sheriff Waifu
After helping the sheriff regain his courage, talk to Miss Tress in the Sheriff's Office. She will thank you for helping her husband regain his courage, and she will be satisfied with him.
The Weird West
This is best done while working on the Golden Buffalo achievement. The 3 golden orbs in the mines are all in front of animal statues. Interact with all 3 statues, then go south of where the lost miner can be found. The gate there should be open. Go through the gate to get the achievement, a cache of money and a clue from the NPC there.

Gate can be located here(click for full size):

Tycoonville
Complete the Oil Tycoon's questline. See the Quick and Dirty Guide to Quests for more details.
Posting a comment from Vance Finiraldi here for extra clarification if needed.
"Additional requirement for Tycoonville (for those who don't have it pop up the moment they report to the tycoon): All the oil rigs must be set up for the achievement to activate, including some new ones built within Clintville itself (i.e. not just within Rancher's Bells former buffalo pen) a little while after the questline is complete. It should pop up when step into Clintville."
Ride Again
(see Ostrich Bandito guide here)
Both Feet on the Gas
Do the Oil Tycoon questline.
Throughout this questline, oil wells will appear on the Indian's land and the Rancher's farms. Speak with the Oil Rig Supervisor at all of these locations, and you should unlock the achievement.
Swift Justice
Beat the game in less than an hour. My main tip is to go through the sheriff line of quests, as he gives clues for doing relatively little.
Shoulda Took Off
Do the Oil Tycoon or Rancher Franchise questline in order for this ending to be achieved.
Once the murderer is bleeding out, talk to him. Ask him why he did it, and he'll tell you that it was because your family wouldn't give up their land.
Tyler Durden
To get this ending, you must not do any major questlines(see Luke Skywalker), and commit evil deeds. Rob the bank and kill as many bandits and civilians as possible.
Now, find the murderer and speak with him when he is bleeding upon the ground.
Luke Skywalker
This is an ending achievement. Ending achievements require certain parameters to be achieved.
To get the Luke Skywalker ending, help as few people as possible. Get clues from your sister and other non-important characters. DO NOT do the Oil Tycoon, Rancher, Indian or Miss Tress questlines.
Surname Frank
After completing the Indian questline and you take over Clintville, find the murderer.
Once the murderer is bleeding out, speak with him. This achievement should unlock.
Murdering Mass
The main way to get this achievement is to survive horde mode and kill the Director.
To get into horde mode, start shooting a ton of random people in Clintville or Santa Anna.
The Legend
This is the hardest achievement to get, for it requires that you not do what happened a lot back in the Wild West: get shot.

Playing through as the Brother should guarantee you this achievement.
Individualist
You have to kill important NPCs (I.e. the sheriff, the banker, etc).
Here's the list
To kill:

- Brother (IMPORTANT: You must play as the hero and enable the tutorial in order to kill him).
- Uncle
-Hailshot Sisters

Not required:
- Golden Buffalo
- Ghost
- Bonafide Member

Vengeance
Beat the game as the Hero.
Note: Beating the game as certain characters achivements are bugged. Developers are working on it now.
Who Wasn't Behind It?
Find all the endings. Descriptions for how to get the specific endings are being made.
Pacifist
The achievement description is self-explanatory.
Tip: Do your absolute best to not kill anyone before the raid on the murderer's hideout. Hatshots don't count as kills.
At the hideout itself there are 21 enemies(22 if the murderer counts) that have to die to progress, you will have to get some of them to shoot each other.
Heya Heya Heya
Beat the game as the Indian.
Note: Beating the game as certain characters achivements are bugged. Developers are working on it now.
Should have stayed
Beat the game as the Sister.
Note: Beating the game as certain characters achivements are bugged. Developers are working on it now.
Beyond the grave
Beat the game as the Brother
Note: Beating the game as certain characters achivements are bugged. Developers are working on it now.
Beefhead Burgers
1) Help the concerned woman in Clintville and help her with her husband
2) Talk with Miss Tressabell in ALL LOCATIONS (Locations specified in Gunman Waifu achievement), so that you won't see her again at the rancher's house
3) Talk with Sheriff
4) Go to Oil Tycoon and when you ask him for a job, draw your gun.
5) Talk with the BeefHeads and hire them to do the buffalo ride.
6) FAIL the buffalo ride letting the buffalos getting to Fort Motors.
7) Talk again with the Beefhead bandits and go with them to kill Rancher Bob.
8) Talk with Oil Tycoon and with the Beefheads.
9) DO NOT CLICK ON : "Have you got a job?" while talking with the beefheads
10) Go to the sheriff. He'll ask you to kill 5 wanted criminals. Do so.
11) When the sheriff ask you for some deputees, bring the beefheads to him (you'll have to convince them, first. Specifications on how to do so will be put in at a later date)
12) Convince him to accept them as deputees by drawing your gun on him BEFORE saying "Give them a chance".
13) After a while (several days at least), go to Clintville Station and talk to the new Burger salesman.

(Thanks Flipper Is A Dolphin!)

This can also be accomplished by doing all 3 escort missions successfully. The beefheads will quit crime and set up shop.

I finished the game multiple times, wrote a guide on it and I still learned things and found this useful and instructive. Thank you. Have some awards, you deserve them! :)

Regarding We Blame Math…
Just replayed the game again to double-check, explored all the regions of the map I think are there and it totals up to 165%, not 160%.

PART 3

This patch also mentions making the beefhead burger unlock easier to achieve, which I assume lowered the number of escort missions required and reduced the time it takes to trigger, which has now made getting them as deputies near impossible. As far as I can tell the only way to get them as deputies is to lock yourself out of either the Fort or Rancher questlines. The only possible way to avoid this is to somehow obtain Bob's hat. I have no Idea how you do this, I've tried shooting it off his head, but that just made him shoot me. I'm losing my mind here, if anyone knows how to find this mythical hat, or how to get the beefheads to become deputies without locking off questlines, PLEASE TELL ME.

PART 2

B) kill bob, locking you out of the rancher questline. I have seen some old posts online and 1 screenshot https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=444566169 showing a quest called Foolin' Beefheads where you show them Bob's hat to convince them he is dead. This hat is also mentioned in the notes for patch 2. https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/games/275200/announcements/detail/111811160945047791?snr=2_9_100015_
Coolsworth 2023 年 8 月 26 日 上午 4:38
PART 1
As far as I can tell, it is impossible to get the Beefheads as deputies if you befriend them via protecting the banker's shipment.

This is because helping Rancher Bob is mandatory for the sheriff questline to progress. It seems that successfully completing 2 escort missions automatically makes the Beefheads leave and start a Burger stand.

It seems the only way to get them as deputies is to either:

A) rob the banker's shipment. This locks you out of the fort questline, since you can't do the hat shipment after since the driver won't talk to you. You also can't do it before, as the hat escort plus helping bob's buffalo run = 2 escort missions, which again automatically triggers the burger stand.

I don't believe that the individualist achievement is based on specific people, rather amount of important npcs killed, as I just got it after not killing the miner.

Surname Frank never seems to unlock for me even though I get that ending...

Just as a little hint... Motormouth can be achieved much quicker. The first npc that talks endlessly in Clintville is perfect for it. Just mash her dialogue for a while and you get it.

Should i play the main character for Tyler Durden?
I killed all bandits, robbed the bank but can't get it by sister.
