Description
WARNING: Broken Content
The link to content.rar is broken thus the map will be missing textures and assets. I no longer have access to these files, so until someone can upload the files the mod will permanently be missing textures. However, there are other versions of this map available on the workshop, though they don't have NPC nodes.

Description
This is an edit of Oskutin's map, 'rp_mountainvillage,' which will allow NPCs and NextBots to navigate around the map.

Requirements:
  • Counter-Strike:Source (for most of the village textures and props)

  • Half-Life 2: Episode 2 (for the forest textures and trees)

  • Content.rar (Goto link in the disclaimer, then click on the first link in the forum, 'content.rar' will be in the name.)
    Open up "content.rar." There should be a folder simply named "content." In this folder should be materials, models, particles, etc. Extract those folders into
    "G:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\GarrysMod\garrysmod" folder or where ever your Gmod is installed to. Overwrite if asked.

Specifications of what has been altered:
  • Ground nodes have been added to almost every area the player can walk.

  • Ground hint nodes have been added to allow HL2 base NPCs to crouch behind cover, jump over obstacles and to stop multiple NPCS from trying to enter doorways simultaneously.

  • Air nodes have been added for small flying NPCs.

  • Strider nodes have been added to the lake (although, striders may clip through geometry at times due to the cramped space).

  • Info hints have been added to allow birds to perch and fly to certain points, as well as allowing scanners to examine windows.

  • Some trees have been removed as they appeared as error models; most were replaced with pine trees or city trees.

  • Navmesh has been generated for NextBot NPCs.

  • Doors were removed as the AI were unable to open them.

  • Minor changes to lighting and brush placement.

Ostukin stated that "[he has] uploaded nearly every vmf from my folder, for you to continue or just for editing them to fit for specific gamemode." Therefore, it's safe for me to upload this file.

However, I will remove this file if the author requests I do so.

Luckly the previous update made it so you don't have to download the half life games anymore there packed in to garry's mod now from what i heard

Will somebody made a new navmeshed and ai noded mod for the original map? Will nobody take up this cause? Maybe even for the one that doesn't require css?

It has been long since i stopped making Gmod maps and have swtiched computer few times after that, so neither i don't have the "content.rar" anymore. One option would be extracting stuff from maps and uploading somehere, or ask from other gmod mappers, as that content seems to be still showing up around gmod maps.
