Set up your settings

First reset the controller configuration with F12

After you did it press the following buttons for each option:

Left: Left Stick Left
Right: Left Stick Right
Forward: Left Stick Up
Back: Left Stick Down
Normal Attack: X
Strong Attack: Y
Musou Attack/Accept: B*
Jump/Cancel: A*
Strafe/ Guard: LB
Call Horse: LT
Switch Weapon: RB
Stratagems: RT
Camera Left: Right Stick Left
Camera Right: Right Stick Right
Camera Up: Right Stick Up
Camera Down: Right Stick Down
Display Info Screen: Start
Pause: Back
Toggle Map: L3
Rage: R3
Command Bodyguard 1: Left D-Pad
Command Bodyguard 2: Right D-Pad
Command Bodyguard 3: Up D-Pad
Command Bodyguard 4: Down D-Pad

Additional informations

Change the game to windowed mode if you have problems with using [Alt]+[Tab]

I noticed the controls settings do not have a pause button option. how do I set that?

then perhaps you could tell me why some of the buttons don't work, because I can openly state 2 of them don't.

It is because it's the same button layout and was made for my then Xbox One controller. But I gladly add any informations that you can provide so I can re-test the settings.

this isn't compatible with Xbox one controllers. for those looking for Xbox one layouts
