I have extended the default water shader with tesselation and changed / modified the original grid by accessing the values via c++. Some problems needs to be resolved. The current reflection and refraction textures are not completly correct for the displaced vertices, so i need to work around it by manipulating the water height somehow.

Wow that looks great! Are you adding geometry in your shader?
