There are some basic strategies you will need to know in order to get far in Woah Dave, normal mode. Here are a few that will help you on your way:

• In order to easily get to $1.00, make sure to keep all of your eggs on the top left or top right platform. You can switch, but just keep them in a compact space. If you do this, and do it well, you will make it to $1.00 with all of your lives.
  
  
• After reaching $1.00 using the previous tip, UFOs will start to come and knock down the platforms you were using. From this point on, use the bottom platforms instead of the top to keep all of the eggs in a compact spot.
  
  
• There are 3 items you can use as weapons. Skull bombs, eggs, and Woah Blocks. All of these items are used differently. Skull bombs should be your main source to take out eggs or aliens near the bottom of the screen. Eggs are used to take out any kind of alien. I recommend you use them at the top of the screen, because if near the bottom, they can hop in the lava pretty quick.

If you use these strategies, you will be making it pretty far in Woah Dave! But let's say you want to do good in deluxe mode. Well, I have more tips and strats for that!

So you are doing good in normal mode. You might be do good in deluxe mode, but you can do even better with the following strats!

• Rare aliens are special aliens that come in black eggs. Upon hatching, they rush to the bottom of the screen and blow up. These suckers drop a lot of if you kill them, but not if they are in their egg. To ensure that you hit them after they hatch, you will need to kill them with an alien egg. Make sure that the rare alien will hatch before the one you are holding, and keep the rare alien egg by itself. Once you see it flashing, wait a tiny bit and throw the egg. If you threw a bomb, the moment the bomb touches the egg it would destroy it. Using another egg, the egg will keep going and once the alien hatches, assuming the egg you threw is still moving, the alien will die and you can hear the satisfying, "All right!"
  
  
• You can also kill rare aliens with Woah Blocks. Just wait for the alien to hatch, and throw the woah block at the ground. This is a lot easier, but you dont always get the chance to do it.
  
  
• Rideable UFOs are another big change to deluxe mode. Once you kill an orange alien in a golden UFO, the UFO will fall and above it in green text it will say "Jump in!". You literally have to jump on top of the UFO to get in, otherwise it is pretty difficult. You want to get in these UFOs as quickly as possible, because they will start to wear down. Once the UFO starts to look like its destructing and it says "Danger!", jump out as quick as possible, or you will die. These UFOs are really good, because you can spam the laser and cause havoc wherever you go. Unfortunately, they break down pretty fast.
  
  
• Keep in mind that the strategies given at the beginning of this guide wont work on any of the other maps. You cant keep the eggs in the corners because there are elevators or portals in the way.

The next section of strategies I wouldve put here, but there are too many, so up next, the Boss Strategies!

So you are in deluxe mode, and you are doing great! You hit $2.00 and... WHAT IS THAT? Well, once reaching $2.00 in deluxe mode, mothership comes down. And you better be prepared!

• Make sure no enemies are around when you are near the $2.00 mark, because they will completely ruin your fight. in order to keep them away, just use a woah block and then pick up some of the money. To get the woah block, keep doing what you are doing without picking up money until one falls, or just have one saved up for that moment. You can also throw any eggs on the map into the lava before they hatch.
  
  
• Now that the fight has started, you need to know how mothership attacks. She is a big UFO with 3 lazer cannons at the bottom. She attacks like any UFO, but with 3 lazers at a time. You can easily dodge her attacks by just running around the map, because just like any UFO, they move to a spot, wait, fire, repeat. Just move somewhere else while she is about to fire.
  
  
• During the fight, no items drop. Meaning you cant just throw skull bombs at her and then its over. Instead, on occasion mothership opens up and spews out skull bombs or eggs. Throw these back at her while her ship is still open and it will do damage. Hit her twice and she will die.
  
  
• After death, she drops a lot of coins and a Dave block. Just like the woah block, this kills everything on the screen. But not only that, this block raises fallen platforms on the map, so you can go back to using the old tactics for a little while!

The boss fight is over. You've gotten an achievement for killing it on one map, now do it for the other maps! But eventually you get bored of normal mode, and you want a challenge. Prepare for bonkers mode.

Now you are ready for bonkers mode. Be prepared, because it's a doozie.

• Bonkers mode causes UFOs to appear more often, and makes them appear at the very start. So you want to make sure that you kill them, but also focus on other aliens and bombs. Sometimes you might get distracted and let a bomb blow up in your hands because you are too concentrated on the UFOs. Don't let this happen.
  
  
• Bonkers shouldn't be taken as seriously as normal mode, because of how ridiculous it is. Despite this, you should still try your best at bonkers. Because of more UFOs, the platforms get knocked down and you cant use the first few strats I gave you. Instead, quickly rush around the map and destroy eggs, and try to hit multiple at a time.
  
  
• You dont even have to rush around the map to destroy eggs if it is too difficult for you. Instead, you could try getting long range shots with the skull bombs or eggs. While you are doing all of this, just make sure to stay focused on the UFOs.

In the end, just try to equally stay focused on every single happening in bonkers mode, because if you get too wrapped up in one thing, another might spiral out of control.

Assuming that you arent a sad lonely man (or woman), grab a friend and prepare to play tug of war!

• Dont be cheap, invite a friend that is also decently good at the game. You dont want to play with complete noobies, it gets boring!
  
  
• You want to get as much money as possible. If you are on deluxe, steal the rare aliens using the strats i mentioned earlier. On normal mode, just steal a group of coins they are trying to get. You want to steal their coins, but also focus on yours!
  
  
• Try not to die, and make sure your friend dies a lot, as they will lose 2 coins each time they die. To do this, throw skull bombs that are about to explode or eggs that are about to hatch right at the other person.

Assuming that used the tips above, you have completely annihilated your friend. Just try not to rub it in their face...
