Pixel Heroes: Bestiary

This guide will (eventually) go over all enemies in the game and their abilities/weaknesses. It is very much a work in progress, just something I did for myself since I tend to forget enemy abilities after not having played for a while.

About this guide
This guide is essentially my attempt at creating a bestiary of Pixel Heroes' monsters and less monstrous enemies alike.

After dying repeatedly because I forgot which enemies do what I started to note down attacks, weaknesses and other things along those lines. I thought I might as well make this a public guide, maybe it will help out others!

THIS GUIDE IS NOT YET FINISHED

It is an ongoing project and there are a few dungeons I have not yet completed or haven't gathered enough information yet. The guide could also do with a few pictures of enemies. It will grow!
Overview
The guide will be split in seperate sections for every dungeon. It will list the dungeon's general elements and inhabitants as well as all their attacks (or at least the ones they decided to use on my adventurers so far). There will be a TL;DR version below every dungeon's name that goes over all status effects you will likely encounter whilst exploring the dungeon.

Progress
  • BYTING WOODS - Dungeon completed
  • DEVIL'S REEF - Dungeon completed, enemies done, needs pictures
  • HAUNTED MANSION - Dungeon completed, enemies done, needs pictures
  • BONEYARD - Dungeon completed, enemies done, needs pictures
  • ARCANE ARMORY - Dungeon completed, enemies done, needs pictures
  • GOBLIN OUTPOST - Dungeon completed, enemies done, needs pictures
  • STORMY PEAKS - Dungeon completed, needs more information, needs pictures
  • SUNKEN EMPIRE - Dungeon not started
  • ANCIENT TEMPLE - Dungeon started, not yet completed
  • VOLCANO - Dungeon not started
  • CYCLOPEAN PYRAMID - Dungeon started, not yet completed

How information is displayed

This is an example of how information regarding enemies will be displayed in the guide:

  • Goblin Shaman
Fireball (Phoenix): Single-target spell that can inflict Burning (1-2)
Thunderbolt (Griffon): Single-target spell that can inflict Stun (1-2)

First of all we have the enemy - in this case a Goblin Shaman.
After that I note the attack's name as well as the element - "Fireball (Phoenix)".
Next is the description of what said attack does - Fireball is a single-target spell that can set things on fire.
The last bit of information in the brackets (1-2) is where in your party the spell usually hits. In Fireball's scenario, it will hit the first two members of your party.
Information I find particularly important will be highlighted in bold, like this!

Please note that the enemy tends to shoot off attacks quite randomly, and especially single-target attacks might be able to hit different targets in addition the ones I wrote down. Those are just MY experiences with enemy spells.

It's been a while since the last changes were made here, but maybe someone will read this and find it helpful anyway: The Volcano's boss is the Crystalisk Emperor, accompanied by two Crystalisk Guardians (positions 1 and 3). The Guardians and Emperor can be Softened. Predictably, they're all weak to Leviathan. They don't seem to possess physical or magical resistance.
The fight was very short for me, I only got to see Incinerate from the Emperor himself, which deals Phoenix damage to all party members and may inflict Burn.
The Emperor died last, so I can't confirm whether or not all enemies have to be killed.

Boss of the Ancient Temple is the Ancient Golem. His attacks are as follows:

Rock Throw (single target physical damage, inflicts stun)
Earthquake (full party physical damage, inflicts stun)
Ancient Magic (1+2 magical damage, inflicts confused and soft)
Ancient Power (self heal for 24, self buff with hard and witty)

Resistant to physical damage, weak to magical damage. Not sure what he can be inflicted with - definitely not stun or burning.

On a sidenote, dont fight Death... its not worth it >_>
Wedu 2015 年 9 月 13 日 上午 1:31
I am fighting the brain-boss in the second playthrough right now:
Servant B is stunnable, can bleed, Griffon physical and Leviathan magical damage seem to deal normal damage.
The Randoom Brain can be soft, Griffon physical damage seems normal.
It can use a mind storm: a group stun, which can also apply dull.. and breeding: a group infest, sick and soft!
Servant A can heal and use a igniting weapon. Didnt attack him since it is a 3-part boss... when you kill the middle one you are victorious!

This bossfight is rather easy if you have a tank with a group-cure and any high damage dealing brute. Your tank should be stunimmune and your brute confuse-immune.. it helps if you stack even more immunities on your tank, just to make sure he stays alive ;)

Would it be possible to add what is effective? Is physical or magical damage more effective? What type of attack (leviathan etc).
