Basilisk

The basilisk is a creature that is part bird, and part reptile. Their gaze causes petrification, and they are so venomous that they can actually poison the ground they walk on. Basilisk courtship rituals are unusual, in that they migrate to a central location every four years to seek out their mates. Scientists predict that the next such event will take place in Cleveland, Ohio, USA around the beginning of July, 2016.
