No they're not glitchy, they're just adding uneven mass.

Yes i know that too. In regions Where there are really much Ships around it also creates a High Poly Count because every Block is A Polygon. Somethimes More Somethimes Less.

My friend's game crashed coz of them. There were too many ships made by all the R and his game crashed

You can do this with other factions, you just have to use an asteroid to hold the seeds. If you knock more seeds into a single asteroid you can increase growth :D

Also, the seed planters produce a special yellow seed which generate resources more quickly, but doesn't sustain itself. You can steal and use those seeds even with other factions.
