  • A website to host your photos (I recommend Dropbox as it's easy to replace the file with out any dramas)
  • A photo editing program what allows you to flip the picture horizontally. (You can use builtin Paint program from Microsoft or Photoshop

The Steps
1. Copy the url link from the Streetview page.

2. Open StreetView Grabber program.

well, Bouma, seeing as how custom backgrounds are applied to a circle, which is especially noticeable in vr (or if you just move the camera really far out in screen mode) you'll see a dark, empty void. And you also see that some parts aren't getting larger as they would in real life. So, it's more or less the same as putting a photo of a beach over your windows at home.

I'm curious what the experience is like in VR. Anybody try this yet?

For anyone struggling to host this on a website or whatever, if you use the custom background option in TTS, you can just point to the file itself on your computer ie C:\Users\yourusernamehere\Desktop\whateverthefilenameis.jpg and it'll work.

I couldn't get this method to work on indoor locations, so I ended up using istreetview [istreetview.com].
