Introduction:

Achievement Breakdown: (36)
Story Related: (16)
Missable: (3)
Secondary Objectives: (3)
Character: (6)
Slay: (1)
Miscellaneous: (7)

100% in Dispatch will require us to complete 2 full playthroughs of the game & replaying the final two Episodes a third time; different Endings & final decisions will essentially revolve around who we choose or do not choose as our Romance arc which is why there needs to be two playthroughs. As well, for the We Can Just Be Friends Achievement we need to complete the game doing no Romance at all. We can fortunately break off our Romance in Episode #7 & it will count as “no Romances” so all we then need to do is beat Episode #8 over again. Saves us from having to do a full third playthrough.

Unfortunately, due to how specific some of our choices are & how to get there, this guide is major spoiler territory. Though obviously not necessary, I strongly recommend doing a full blind playthrough before hand so you can enjoy the story without me ruining the big plot points. The game writing is very good, & I would hate for me to wreck the fun out of it by spoiling the story or railroading you into my guide playthroughs – which are optimized for earning Achievements with as little replaying as possible.

The hardest Achievement we need to earn in the game is the H4ack3d By R0b3rt Achievement which requires us to successfully beat all 28 Hack Levels when they appear. What makes the Achievement hard, is the fact that the Checkpoint/Autosave system in this game is pretty bad & no where near convenient. Typically, if you mess up on a Hack Level or during an important Call, you will have to restart the entire Shift. To reload your current Checkpoint, you have to quit to the Main Menu & reload your Save; no “reload last Checkpoint” kind of thing… This can really mess up your Call RNG as well as just become tedious; I do my best to make the Hack Levels as easy as I can.

All our Z-Team Heroes are important, & it is imperative that you try to place them on Calls when you can; during certain Episodes we may be limited to only a few of our Heroes, & your favourites may not be amongst them.

I won’t tell you how to Level your Heroes but for a little reference, this is how I at least like to build mine:

Sonar: Is very powerful & I only recommend leveling his Intelligence & Charisma due to his Ability. Sonar is a +10 Intelligence, +10 Charisma main Hero.

Flambae: I like to use as a Mobility, Vigor, Combat Hero.

Invisigal: Is also a Mobility (main to +10), Intelligence, & Combat.

Coupé: Coupé I also recommend speccing into an Intelligence build, even though it seems weird at first, because Intelligence is a very lacking Attribute amongst the Heroes… Intelligence, Mobility, Vigor

Punch Up: Punch Up is a Combat, Charisma, & Vigor main.

Malevola: I like using Malevola as a quality build trying to level all Attributes equally to have her as a Hero that fits all roles. Sonar is my favorite Hero, but Malevola is an extremely close second.

Golem: Golem is a hands down a Vigor main & you will want to focus on bringing him to +10 Vigor. Apart from Vigor… you can do what you want with him; he becomes a powerhouse later on due to a Secondary Power.

Prism: Prism is a Charisma main, but can double as an Intelligence swap out.

I do go over Call requirements in a Shifts, but they are only so accurate. I tried my best but with how much variability there can be, especially with Disruptions/Skill Checks, I could not cover everything.

For those interested, here is an organized list of all the Achievements/Secret Achievements. This is how I derive my Achievement Breakdowns & the first reference I create before I begin my 100% journeys.

Before You Play!: Do not pause the game in the moments just after you complete a Hack Level; if you are unlucky the game will glitch, & though the Level is completed, you will not return back to the SDN Shift Map & be forced to restart the entire Shift over again from your last Save.

*Guide contains major spoilers.
Sequence 1: Welcome to SDN
1. Episode: Pivot
2. Hack Level: 1/28
3. Achievements: 1/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the most part, unfortunately, most of the small dialogue choices are completely irrelevant to the overall story & to Achievements… all dialogue is also unfortunately unskippable which can be tedious on Episode replays… You are basically free to choose whatever you like, unless I flag otherwise for Achievement purposes, & we will all end up in the same place.

Episode #1 – Pivot:

Episode #1: Interrogate Shroud’s goon to learn his current location, then suit up. Mecha Man. Infiltrate the hideout, & take out the other henchmen in our way.

Hack Level #1 – Shroud Henchman Tablet: Story Related. After taking down a few of Shroud’s men, we will go to Hack into a broken tablet one has on them which will introduce us to Hacking.

For the H4ck3d By R0b3rt Achievement, we will have to successfully complete & not fail all 28 of these Hack Levels. Some are scripted & easy, & others can be quite challenging. Fortunately for you, this one is only an introduction & cannot be failed.

Episode #1: Re-confront our “Soothing Goon” & we will be forced to challenge Shroud’s entire gang here at the steel mill. Do your best…

Attend the press conference, eat some Skittles, & go to the pub with Blonde Blazer.

During our pub run with Blonde Blazer, we will encounter the Super Villain… Super Hero, Flambae. He will try to adult bully us & we will have the option of throwing water or pure alcohol at him; this is a non-Achievement related decision, so choose whichever sounds preferable.

Naturally we will be kicked out of the bar, & Blonde Blazer will take us to the Hollywood Sign… or close to it, for a formal SDN interview – because obviously that was what was going on this entire time. (Kissing her or deciding not to is irrelevant).

Day Shift:
While we are on the Phenomenal Man billboard with Blonde Blazer, we will receive our Tutorial on how to complete Dispatch Shifts/Calls. The roster we have to work with are not the ones we will get for the rest of the game & your succusses/fails are irrelevant.

There are no Achievements to earn during this Tutorial.

Achievement #1 – Did I Drool On You?: Hired at SDN.
Story Related. Complete our job interview for SDN, regardless of how good we did, & we will unlock this Achievement when we get back home to see Beef.
Sequence 2: They Think I'm Not Natty?
1. Episode: Onboard
2. Hero Starting Powers: 5/8
3. Hack Level: 3/28
4. Achievements: 3/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #2 – Onboard:

Episode #2: Report into SDN, change into your employee clothes, & we will officially meet our two potential Romances – Blonde Blazer & Invisigal. In this Episode, our dialogue choices with them don’t really matter.

Speak with Blonde Blazer, Royd, & Chase, & we will be shown to our desk position at SDN. Note that our latest Checkpoint is when we enter the server room to speak with Chase… if you want to reload your Dispatch Shift we will have to go all the way back to this moment, making it very not ideal.

Regardless we will be introduced to our team of 8 Heroes. Each Hero has a main Skill & a strong secondary Skill… & typically that’s about it. This will become more important later but you will want to lean into each Hero’s strong Skill & not risk leveling others – we can only Level up a Hero 10 times until they reach Rank 10.

Day Shift:
For the Shift Was Lit Achievement we need to successfully complete all Calls during a Shift; there are 12 Calls for our first day & they are the easiest to do compared to later Episodes. As annoying as it may be, it is best to reload your game if you Miss or Fail any of the 12 Calls so you can get the Achievement out of the way… This can also be attempted at any point by reloading the Episode later.

Call #1 – Lost Balloon: Requires Mobility & Charisma. Send Flambae for this one…

Starter Power #1 – On Fire: When Flambae successfully completes any Call, we will unlock his Starter Power.

Achievement#2 – Nailed It: Achieved a Perfect Dispatch with only one Hero.
This is very easy to do on Call #1 or Call #2 of Episode #2. Send Flambae for the Call – Lost Balloon or Sonar on Call – Vand-Go Opening to by a 100% match.

Call #2 – Vand-Go Opening: For this Call it is a double Charisma Call – Sonar in his Hybrid form is the best fit.

Starter Power #2 – Instincts: On any Call we send Sonar on, he will swap from his Hybrid form into his Mega Bat form & vice versa – he will swap back to his Hybrid form after finishing a Call as Mega Bat.

Hack Level #2 – Cray Cray Bidet: This Call will come online after the second Call; there is no time limit & it can easily be completed. If we do not respond to the Call soon enough however it will disappear, so make sure to be quick.

Call #3 – Fight At Crypto Night: Results in a Skill Check; Prism instant success. All other Choices made will need a Charisma to complete. Send Prism, & Coupé for this one.

Starter Power #3 – En Pointe: Place Coupé in the first row of any Call that has more than 2 Slots to unlock her Starter Power; we do not need to Dispatch her to unlock it.

Starter Power #4 – Doppelganger Illusion: With Coupé in the first Slot now place Prism in the second Slot to unlock her Starter Power as well; we do not need to Dispatch them to unlock it.

Call #4 – Retrieve Stolen Boat: Requires Mobility & Vigor.

Call #5 – Blaze In the Burbs: Requires a Skill Check for either Intelligence or Vigor depending on your choice; do not send Flambae. Golem is good to send if you plan to perform the Vigor Skill Check.

Call #6 – Museum Robbery: Who you choose to send on this Call is irrelevant because we need to perform the Hack on this Level; send Invisigal.

Starter Power #5 – Lone Wolf: Send Invisigal on this Call (or on a solo Call) to unlock her Starter Power.

Hack Level #3 – Museum Robbery: We have a timer for this one, so we cannot take too long. Fortunately it is not very difficult to accomplish at all.

Achievement #3 – Burning Chrome: Completed a Hacking Level with 1/3 of the timer left.
This is a very simple Hack Level to complete, & we can earn this Achievement in the process while doing so. There are still another 25 Hacking Levels to complete & we can earn this Achievement during any of them; naturally they will become harder however.

Just complete this Hack Level as fast as possible.

Apologies for not being able to fit all of Episode #2 in one Sequence, I ran out of my allotted 1300 characters per Steam Guide page.*
Sequence 3: Phenomenal
1. Episode: Onboard
2. Hero Starting Powers: 5/8
3. Hack Level: 5/28
4. Achievements: 7/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #2 – Onboard:

Call #7 – In the Zone: Requires Intelligence & Charisma.

Levelling Up Heroes: As mentioned above, each Hero has their own specialty, but you are free to build them however you prefer to suit your needs. Note that Rank 10 is the natural maximum Level of each Hero so we can only choose 10 Skills to Upgrade; there are bonus Skill Points we can earn that can increase Heroes beyond Rank 10.

Choose your Skill Point allocations carefully.

Call #8 – Apprehend Art Thieves: Requires Intelligence & Mobility.

Call #9 – Send Sonar As Security / Send Literally Anyone Else: Only send Sonar on this Call if he is in Hybrid form, if he is not, you need to do the other Call which will require Vigor & Charisma.

If you do send Sonar, we will have to perform a Skill Check with it either being Charisma, Charisma, or Combat.

Call #10 – Juvenile Pickpocket At Large: Requires Mobility & Charisma but can be instantly completed with Malevola.

Call #11 – Locate the Stolen Art: Can be instantly completed with either Invisigal or Coupé, but will otherwise need you to perform a Skill Check with Vigor or Mobility.

Call #12 – Granny’s Donuts: This is the final Call & is Story Related… Invisigal will go.

Achievement #4 – Love ‘em, From My Mouth to My Butt: Chose the least popular Donut.
Missable. When we access the Granny’s Donuts security camera to check on Invisigal, she will shortly ask us what our favourite Donut is.

This Achievement is actually determined by Player Stats that the game records & has the potential to change depending on what people choose. For the Achievement, we need to choose the Donut that Players choose the least.

Currently, the least popular Donut is the: Plain Glazed.

The Achievement will not unlock until we see our Stats screen however at the end of the Episode.

Hack Level #4 – Granny's Donuts: Story Related. When we need to swap cameras in Granny’s Donuts, we will have to perform a Hack to access them. There is no time limit for this one.

The Code is: ↑ ↓ ← ←

Hack Level #5 – Granny's Donuts: Story Related. During her fight with Lightningstruck, we will need to Hack into the Overhead Sprinkler system to short out his arm cannons. This is a timed Hack that we can fail!

This Hack can be completed very easily however if you know the Code, which is: ↑ ↓ ← ↑.

Achievement #5 – Time’s Running Out: Completed a Hacking Level with 5s left.
With how easy this Hack Level is, we can also earn this Achievement easily by waiting out the timer while we hover over the Final Breach. Select it so you are ready, & wait as long as you can into the final timer bar.

5s is both shorter & longer than you think; wait as long as you can, but not too long. You can perform the final breach if it is selected in under 2s.

Episode #2: When the Overhead Sprinklers turn on, we will have to decide who to send Invisigal after – she will choose the opposite of what you want her to do.

Achievement #6 – Shift Was Lit: Completed a Z-Team Shift without Missing or Failing a Call.
If you successfully completed all 12 Calls for the Day Shift without Failing or Missing any of them, we will unlock this Achievement when we see our Performance Review Update. This Achievement is pretty tricky to unlock but best done during Episode #2 since all the Calls are quite easy as well as only having 12 of them.

Achievement #7 – You Gonna East Those Twinks?: Disobeyed by Invisigal.
Story Related. Confront Invisigal in the break room, give Sonar your Twinkies, & we will complete Episode #2.

There is a final dialogue with Blonde Blazer & Chase, but the decisions won’t impact Episode #3.

When the Episode Credits roll, we will unlock the Love ‘em, From My Mouth to My Butt Achievement if we correctly chose the least popular Donut when it reveals our choice to us.
Sequence 4: You're All Phoenixes
1. Episode: Turnover
2. Hero Starting Powers: 8/8
3. Hack Level: 11/28
4. Achievements: 9/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #3 – Turnover:
As of Episode #3, we will be making decisions that will alter the story & lock us into/out of certain Achievements. To make things easier, I recommend duplicating your Save Slot so when we inevitably have to go back to replay this Episode, we won’t have to replay Episodes #1 or #2 over again.

Go to work & Blonde Blazer will inform us that by the end of today’s Shift, one of our Z-Team Heroes will be cut from the team; ultimately it will be our choice between two Heroes, each with their own Achievement for letting them go.

Day Shift:
Note that this Shift is kind of a write off. Due to the potential team cut, everyone is going to sabotage each other & make a big mess of the Shift; if you can pull off some Successes then it is a bonus.

Call #1 – Beach Clean Up: Requires Mobility, Vigor, & Charisma.

Starter Power #6 – Hard Head: Make sure to send Punch Up on a Call & he will either get sabotaged or Fail a Call he solos. When he takes an Injury, we will unlock his Starter Power.

Starter Power #7 – Life Trade: When a Hero gets Injured, send them on a Call with Malevola & we will unlock her Starter Power.

Call #2 – Undercover Drug Bust: Requires Charisma & Intelligence.

Call #3 – Trouble At the Tailgate: Requires Vigor & Combat.

Hack Level #6 – Hero Sabotage: Missable. To trigger this Hack Level, we need to send Flambae on a Call with any Hero other than Prism (they have Synergy & won’t sabotage each other). When Flambae gets sabotaged, one of the options to unstuck him will be to “Unlock the tank”. Do so to initiate the Hack Level.

There is no timer for this Hack Level initially but one will start when we get close to Flambae; the Code is ← ↓ ↓.

Call #4 – Assault On the Drug Base: Requires Vigor, Vigor, & Combat.

Starter Power #8 – Diamond In the Rough: Put Golem on a Call with more than 3 Slots & we will automatically unlock his Starter Power – you do not have to send him on that Call.

Achievement #8 – Getting to Known Yous: Discovered every Hero's Starting Power.
Each of our 8 Z-Team Heroes has a Starting Power that we need to unlock. Most are very easy to do with Punch Up & Malevola’s being the most situational needing Injuries.

Call #5 – Learn About SDN Scammer: Requires Charisma & Intelligence.

Call #6 – Landslide: Requires Intelligence, Intelligence, & Vigor.

Call #7 – Save the Mascot In Peril: Requires Mobility & Vigor.

Hack Level #7 – Hack the Scammer: This Hack Level will spawn in with a whole bunch of other Calls; it is timed & may disappear so be sure to do it first. This Hack Level also has an internal timer, so we cannot take too long.

This one plays out a little differently, & we have to match the Frequency to complete it; we need to match 2 Frequencies.

Call #8 – Parking Lot Backup: Requires Intelligence & Charisma.

Call #9 – Runaway Train: Requires Mobility & Vigor.

Call #10 – Burglary In Progress: Story Related. This is the final Call of the Shift & is Story Related.

Night Shift:

Synergy: As of now, we can begin Leveling up our Heroes Synergy – for the Work Spouse Achievement we need to max out Synergy for at least one pair of Heroes. Heroes gain Synergy when sent on Calls together.

The Synergy pairs are: Invisigal & Golem, Flambae & Prism, Malevola & Sonar, Punch Up & Coupé.

Call #1 – Personal Shopper: Requires Vigor & Combat.

Call #2 – Line Cutter: Requires Charisma but can be instantly completed if Prism or Coupé are on the Call.

Call #3 – Ritualistic Solicitation: Requires Intelligence & Charisma but can be instantly completed if Malevola is on the Call.

Call #4 – Underground Fighting Ring: Requires Combat & Vigor.

Call #5 – Personal Security: Requires Vigor & Combat.

Call #6 – Fight In the Tournament / Shut Down the Tournament: We have two alternates to this Call. Send Punch Up for a Combat & Vigor check, or send the Z-Team for Charisma, Combat, & Vigor check.

Hero Training: Occasionally, Hero Training Calls will pop up that will allow us to reveal Heroes Secondary Powers; I strongly recommend always completing these as they will make our Heroes much more effective.

Call #7 – Personal Security II: The Ride: Requires Vigor & Combat but can be instantly completed if Coupé or Invisigal are on the Call.

Call #8 – Debate the Bone Zone: Requires Intelligence & Charisma.

Hero Training: Sending 4 different Heroes to Hero Training will also unlock the Power Trip Achievement for us.

Call #9 – Lightningstruck Strikes Again: Requires Vigor, Mobility, & Combat.

Call #10 – Bank Robbery: This is an important Call as it will trigger a Hack Level; who we send does not matter because of it, though it initially requires Mobility, Mobility, & Combat.

Hack Level #8 – Bank Robbery: During Call – Bank Robbery, choose the “Trap the Robbers inside the vault” option to begin the Hack Level; it is timed & also brutal. Fortunately, I will tell you all the Codes to make it a piece of cake.

Code #1: ↓ → → ↑
Code #2: → → ↑ →
Code #3: ↓ → ↓ → ↑ → ↑

For reference on these Codes, pay attention to the pathways lit green ahead of us; the Code is the direction we will roll our Hack Dice in the marked area ahead of us if that makes sense.

Episode #3: At the end of the Shift, Invisigal will go rogue & we will need to convince her to go on a final Call to apprehend Lightningstruck.

Hack Level #9 – Jewellery Store: Story Related. During the fight with Lightningstruck, we will need to tap into a new set of cameras to view things; this Hack Level is not timed, but we will be introduced to Anti-Viruses. Anti-Viruses are a pain, & will make Hack Levels much harder to complete.

This first one isn’t too bad, but you will need to be quick to get away from the Anti-Virus.

Hack Level #10 – Jewellery Store: Story Related. Shortly after Hacking the first camera, we will need to Hack a second one; this one is also not timed but will have another Anti-Virus we need to get away from. Before engaging it, Hack the two separate Path Nodes so we can lead the Anti-Virus all the way around the square safely.

Hack Level #11 – Jewellery Store: Story Related. Our final Hack will require us to put everything together in a more difficult Anti-Virus Level. Carefully lead the Anti-Virus down to the bottom section of the Level & block it off in the isolated square – you will need to be quick.

Achievement #9 – But I Cheered For Invisigal…: Collected a knife.
Story Related. At the end of the Episode, we will be required to choose between cutting Sonar or Coupé from the team; this Achievement is for cutting Coupé.

Make your own choice to cut Coupé or Sonar – whoever you prefer to lose. In our second playthrough, we will cut the other Hero from the team.
Sequence 5: Top of the Mornin' to Yah
1. Episode: Restructure
2. Hack Level: 12/28
3. Achievements: 9/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #4 – Restructure:
If you couldn’t tell from how this Episode begins… this is when decisions will start being made regarding our Romance arc with Blonde Blazer or Invisigal. Initial conversations throughout the Episode won’t matter, but it will be our decision at the end of the Episode that will start us down our paths – more on that later. For initial conversations you can play into either or neither without consequence.

Chase will also inform us that we will be able to replace the Hero we cut in the previous Episode with either Phenomamimal-Man or Waterboy; both have Achievements attached to the decision, so choose one this playthrough & the other next playthrough.

Day Shift:
For this Shift, we will be down a Hero & only have 7 available to use. It is a part of this Shift to become overwhelmed by Calls & there is the potential you may Miss a few due to not having enough Heroes available.

Call #1 – Moving Away: Requires Vigor & Mobility.

Call #2 – Join the Cult / Send Malevola: We will have an alternate Call soon into the Shift. We can either join the cult with a Charisma & Intelligence requirement… or we can just send Malevola which can be instantly completed if Sonar is also sent on the Call.

Call #3 – Car Drives Off Cliff: Requires Intelligence & Mobility but can be instantly completed if Coupé is sent – alternatively Flambae or Sonar can go if they took the Hero Training to Fly.

Call #4 – Brawl At the Football Game: Requires Combat & Vigor.

Call #5 – Nostalgically Yours: Requires Intelligence & Intelligence. This Call will devolve into a guessing game on where the Bomb is hidden. The correct book is “The Wolves Inside Us”, we must then perform an Intelligence or Combat Check to deal with it but Flambae can instantly complete the Check.

Call #6 – Moving In: Requires Vigor & Mobility.

Call #7 – Demolition: Requires Combat & Vigor.

Call #8 – Substitute Teacher: Requires Vigor, Combat, Mobility.

Call #9 – Criminal Minds: Requires Mobility & Intelligence.

Hero Training: A Hero Training Call will appear & is worth taking if you can with a Hero that has not previously gone.

Call #10 – Theatrically Yours: Requires Mobility & Intelligence; this can be instantly completed if Punch Up is on the Call. This Call will be interrupted & we will need to manually search the movie theaters – choose “Standing Alive”. Without Punch Up, we will have to perform a Mobility or Intelligence Check to complete the Call.

Call #11 – Superhero Squabble In Aisle 9: This is an important Call to take as it leads to a Hack Level – who we send on it does not matter because of that.

Hack Level #12 – Superhero Squabble In Aisle 9: This Call will be interrupted & we can choose to Hack into the sprinkler system to stop the fight – do so. This is a timed Hack Level unfortunately. There are three Sprinkler Systems we need to activate, but two Anti-Viruses that move extremely fast. Take your time & make sure to lure & block the Anti-Viruses before proceeding to the Sprinkler Systems.

The bottom most Anti-Virus is the most confusing to try & block out as the same Path Node controls three separate lines on the same track. Just be patient with it. Do the bottom right Sprinkler System before you do the bottom left one as the exit will appear just past the bottom left Sprinkler System; with how difficult it is to block the bridges, you don’t want to have to navigate back.

Call #12 – Mall Looting Youths: Requires Mobility & Vigor.

Call #13 – Furniture, Assemble: Requires Intelligence.

Call #14 – Dog Walking: Requires Mobility & Vigor.

Call #15 – Comically Yours: Requires Mobility & Intelligence. This Call will be interrupted, & we will have to determine which Mecha Man replica contains the bomb. Choose “Mecha Man Prime”, & we will then have to perform a Mobility or Combat Check to destroy it; Invisigal can instantly complete the Check.

Episode #4: Post Day Shift, we will have to make our decision on bringing Phenominoman or Waterboy into the Z-Team. This decision does not affect our Romance arcs, BUT I will say in terms of awkwardness, if you are choosing Blonde Blazer I would go with Waterboy – Invisigal go with Phenomaman.

As an over complication, whoever the Hero you cut from the last Episode that had Synergy with a present Hero will now gain Synergy Levels with our new Hero. This would be Malevola or Punch Up for cutting Sonar or Coupé.
Sequence 6: 12 Movies, 12 Months
1. Episode: Restructure
2. Hack Level: 13/28
3. Achievements: 11/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #4 – Restrucutre:

Night Shift:
With our new Hero added to the roster, things will be a bit easier to do. Waterboy has extremely basic Stats & I prefer to just make him a “quality build/master of none” role just rounding his Stats out & having as a great party buff to the Heroes who will actually complete a Call. Phenomaman already comes fully maxed out.

Both will unfortunately come with debilitating Starter Powers that we will want to remove later on by sending them to Hero Training.

Regardless who we pick, they will earn Synergy with either Punch Up or Malevola depending on who we cut from the team earlier. Phenomaman doesn’t really need the Synergy, but Waterboy will GREATLY benefit from having a Level 3 Synergy with his partner. You can even build him as the perfect counterpart to Punch Up/Malevola & level Stats they don’t have.

Call #1 – Stop the Assassination: Requires Mobility, Vigor, & Combat.

Hero Training: With how early this Hero Training Call is, definitely send a new Hero to unlock a Secondary Power for them; if you have not already done so, Golem’s Spread Thin Power radically changes how useful he is as a Hero.

Call #2 – Subscriber Recruitment Day: Requires Charisma.

Call #3 – I Need A Hero: Requires Charisma & Vigor but can be instantly completed with Malevola or Flambae.

Call #4 – Mascot Match-Up: Requires Combat & Vigor.

Hack Level #13 – Discern the Target: This Hack Level will appear independently & we can select it without sending any Heroes; it is timed. This one is complicated… but with foresight, very easy.

There are two Codes we need to complete the Hack, the full combination is: ← ← ↑ → → ↓.

Before we use the Code, make sure the path is clear ahead of us as we will release a moderately fast Anti-Virus behind us. The Code will release the Anti-Virus but also make the line appear to the exit that will not require a Code.

Call #5 – Assassination Takedown: Requires Combat & Intelligence.

Achievement #10 – Work Spouse: Reached max Synergy with a Hero duo.
If you are consistent with sending out Heroes who have Synergy, we can easily unlock this Achievement during this Episode at the earliest. Max Synergy is Level 3 & will radically increase the odds of Call success.

Once again, Synergy teams are: Invisigal/Golem, Flambae/Prism, Sonar/Malevola, Punch Up/Coupé, or Malevola – Punch Up with Waterboy – Phenomaman interchangeably.

By this point, you should have an idea of how you want your Heroes upgraded; I recommend taking advantage of Hero Synergy & making Heroes foils of each other by leveling Skills the other does not have to make them a very effective team.

Call #6 – Meet the Handler: Requires Charisma & Intelligence.

Call #7 – Baby Kaiju Attack: Requires Mobility & Vigor – Golem can instantly complete this Call.

Call #8 – Humor the Brainteaser / Find the Brainteaser: We can solve three of Brainteaser’s riddles (answers being: The Wolves Inside Us, Standing Alive, & Mecha Man Prime) or we can send Heroes after him that will require Mobility & Combat.

Call #9 – Ex-Hero In Crisis: Requires Charisma & Vigor.

Achievement #11 – It Smells Very Chemically In Here: Gave him his first shot.
Story Related. If you chose to add Waterboy to the Z-Team, we will earn this Achievement near the end of the Episode.

If you chose Phenomaman, you will earn the I Wish to Make Love to You Again Achievement instead – we will earn the other Achievement during our second playthrough.

Episode #4: As we are about to leave SDN, we can sit in on seeing Invisigal watching a move; we can join her to begin the Romance arc. Alternatively, we can not, & join Blonde Blazer for dinner instead.

For the guide, I am structuring playthrough one around Blonde Blazer since it is simpler; Invisigal has a few Achievements related to her as well as having a very easy/clean breakoff point of her Romance in Episode #7 that will let us earn the We Can Just Be Friends Achievement during a replay of Episode #7/8 without having to do a full third playthrough.

If you choose Invisigal as your Romance, scroll down to Sequence 13 for more information regarding it & ignore the Blonde Blazer interlude info between Shifts. You will unfortunately want to scroll back up to the following Sequences for the Shift Calls.

Beware of future spoilers if you scroll down to lower Sequences!
Sequence 7: What's A Charalanahzard?
1. Episode: Team Building
2. Hack Level: 14/28
3. Achievements: 13/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #5 – Team Building:

Blonde Blazer: Almost die under some weights when the Episode begins, & Blonde Blazer will ask us to go on a “real” date with her.

Day Shift:

Call #1 – Talent of Torrance: Requires Charisma & Charisma.

Call #2 – Rescue Transit Workers: Requires Intelligence & Mobility but can be instantly completed if Golem is sent on the Call.

Call #3 – Talent of Torrance Throwdown: Requires Charisma, Charisma, & more Charisma.

Call #4 – Aliens Among Us: Requires an “alien-like” Hero as well as Intelligence. The only actual alien is, Phenomaman, which we will not have this playthrough if we chose Waterboy. Without Phenomaman, we will have to make a Charisma or Intelligence Check.

Hero Training: A new Hero Training Call will arrive next.

Achievement #12 – Power Trip: Expanded powers for 4 different Heroes.
This is the soonest we can unlock this Achievement if you sent a different Hero to each instance of Hero Training across the last few Episodes.

There are more Hero Training instances to complete; Flight School does not count.

Hero Training: Speaking of Flight School, we can send another Hero to it to earn a bonus Power.

Call #5 – Stalker Stalking Film Shoot: This Call leads into a Hack Level, so who we send will not matter; when the Call gets interrupted, choose to “Delete all of his files”.

Hack Level #14 – Stalker Stalking Film Shoot: This Hack Level is timed & has Anti-Viruses on it.

The first Code in our way is: ← → → the Key Code that is given to us in game is inverted; this is the corrected Code.

When we continue on to the next Hack Node, it will unleash a very fast Anti-Virus after us – go straight to the Code Node.

The second Key Code is also reversed in game, the corrected Code is: → → ← ←.

The Anti-Virus can be outrun; if you mess up & it is gaining on you, just lose it by doing a circuit around the squared area we are in.

Call #6 – Anti-Bullying Seminar: Requires Charisma & Combat.

Call #7 – Your Big Break, Kid: Requires Charisma.

Call #8 – Sewage Clog / Sewage Spill: For the first alternate, it will require Intelligence, Vigor, & Charisma the other will require Mobility, Intelligence, & Vigor.

Call #9 – Performance Act: Requires Intelligence & Vigor.

Call #10 – Refinery Explosion: Requires Mobility & Vigor; cannot exceed 8 Combat.

Achievement #13 – Min Max: Upgraded a Stat to 10.
Most Heroes may not end up with a level 10 Skill, but some easy ones to earn this Achievement on is: Sonar +10 Intelligence, Invisigal +10 Mobility, Prism +10 Charisma, or Golem +10 Vigor. Golem is most likely the sure-win Hero for the Achievement as you are highly unlikely to spec him out of a Vigor build.
Sequence 8: Temporarily Blinded Me!
1. Episode: Team Building
2. Hack Level: 17/28
3. Achievements: 16/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #5 – Team Building:

Night Shift:
This Shift will be a lot, & Heroes may Fail &/or get Injured. Pay attention to Injuries, for the Phoenixes Down Achievement we need to heal the same Hero twice with Malevola or with a Patch Up Item.

Call #1 – Lost Pet: Requires Charisma, Mobility, & Charisma.

Power Outage: Then the power will go out on us. With no power, we will need to perform 3 Story Related Hack Levels to turn power back on in all three districts of Torrance. These will be sprinkled throughout the Night Shift.

Hack Level #15 – Central Torrance Power Outage: Story Related. To start, we may as well get Central Torrance back online so we can view the area around SDN HQ. There is fortunately no timer, though we are introduced to a new feature: Electricity Nodes. These will let us access blocked off lines… & even serve as a single use Anti-Virus killer.

Call order will vary depending on which districts you restore power to. It is also important to note that these Story Related Hack Levels won’t disappear; you can complete all Calls & wait for your Heroes to be Rested before completing them.

Call #2 – Evacuation Assistance: Requires Mobility & Charisma; has a Bonus Requirement for breaching Intelligence 8.

Call #3 – Thwart Graffiti Vandals: Requires Mobility & Mobility.

Call #4 – Stabilize Experiment: Requires Intelligence & Mobility; has a Fail Requirement of 6 Combat.

Hero Training: If you have the availability, you can send a Hero to Hero Training.

Call #5 – VANDLABS Robbery: Requires Mobility & Combat. If Sonar/Coupé/Phenomaman is on the Call (& they went to Flight School) they can instantly complete this Call.

Hack Level #16 – East Torrance Power Outage: Story Related. By now, our next Hack Level will appear; since it is over in the industrial quarter of the city, we should probably go to East Torrance next. Once again there is no timer.

The Code is a simple one: ↑ ← →.

Call #6 – Air Team Rescue / Ground Team Rescue: An alternate Call that needs either flying Heroes or a strong ground team. To catch the plane in the air we can only send Sonar/Coupé, Flambae, & Phenomaman. To catch the plane on the ground send Malevola or Prism to instantly complete the Call.

Call #7 – Senior Home Check-Up: Requires Mobility, Charisma, & Intelligence.

Call #8 – Repairs Required: Requires Intelligence, Vigor, & Mobility; has a Fail Requirement of 8 Combat.

Call #9 – Super Tantrum: Requires Charisma & Vigor; has a Bonus Requirement of 8 Vigor.

Call #10 – Shipment Robbery: Requires Vigor & Combat; has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Mobility.

Hack Level #17 – West Torrance Power Outage: Story Related. Now to boot up power to our final district. Still no timer, but there will be an Anti-Viruses present; we need to use Electricity Nodes to destroy them. This is an important Hack Level as we can unlock the below Achievement.

Achievement #14 – Anti-Antivirus Club: Destroyed 3 Antiviruses in less than 15s.
This is the first time we will be able to easily earn this Achievement – the second time will be in the next Episode. There are exactly three Anti-Viruses to destroy on this Hack Level; the moment we kill the first one, the 15s begins.

As soon as we destroy the first Anti-Virus hack the Path Node to cross into the 4x3 square area & immediately rush down to the second Electricity Node to kill the lower Anti-Virus. Then roll over to the top right corner of the 4x3, dodge the Anti-Virus, & kill it with the next Electricity Node here to unlock the Achievement. The timing is tight, but very doable.

Call #11 – Power Outage Looting: Requires Vigor, Combat, & Mobility.

Achievement #15 – From Zero to Hero: Maxed out a Hero.
For this Achievement, we need to raise a Hero to Rank 10; giving them Performance Review bonus Skill Points will add extra Ranks to them, but not contribute to “maxing them out”. You will earn this Achievement on your most sent Hero or on frequently completed Bonus Requirements.

By the end of the game, all Heroes will most likely reach Rank 10 unless you rarely send them on Calls.

Call #12 – Missing Teens: Requires Mobility. The Call will be interrupted & we will have to manually search for the girl; search the beach. We will then have to perform a Charisma or Intelligence Check but it can be instantly completed if Malevola is on the Call.

Call #13 – Multi-Car Pile Up: Requires Vigor, Mobility, & Vigor.

Call #14 – The Wheelies: Requires Mobility & Charisma; has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Charisma.

To earn the Modded Achievement we need to earn all Bonus Requirements for an entire Episode; you may have been able to earn it now, but if not, we can earn it more easily later.

Episode #5: At the end of the Night Shift, we will go out to drinks with the Z-Team at the Sardine… & it will both go very well, & then very bad.

At the end of the evening, after we recollect the events, we will have to make a decision: do we tell the Z-Team we are Mecha Man, or do we keep it a secret.

Achievement #16 – I’m the Guy Behind the Desk: Hid the truth.
Story Related. For this playthrough, we will keep our identity a secret & just say we are Robert Robertson. It is the weaker choice in my opinion, but actually works out better for us later the next day unlike the other option…

We will choose to reveal our identity in playthrough two.
Sequence 9: Keep Up
1. Episode: Moving Parts
2. Hack Level: 23/28
3. Achievements: 18/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #6 – Moving Parts:
Test out another Mecha Man prototype, & we will be back at our desk for another day in the life of a Dispatcher

Day Shift:
When we jump on, there will be two active Calls, Malevola will be returning back to SDN from one, & Invisigal will be Resting. The Shift is the easiest Shift to earn the Modded Achievement for passing/avoiding Call Requirements. You don’t actually have to succeed the Bonus Requirement Calls, just as long as you reach them.

Call #1 – Cat Sitter Wanted: Requires Vigor & Mobility but can be instantly completed with Golem. Without Golem, we will need to complete a Vigor or Mobility Check. We then need to complete a Charisma, Intelligence, or Combat Check.

Call #2 – On Standby: Requires Mobility & Charisma.

Hack Level #18 – Cyberbully: This Hack Level will appear at SDN HQ & can be failed if you do not answer the Call soon enough; it is a timed Hack Level with an Anti-Virus. We will need to get to all three Video Deletion Nodes before we can complete the Level.

To destroy the Anti-Virus, lure it away & take it out with one of the nearby Electricity Nodes. It is fortunately slow.

With the Anti-Virus taken care of, we can use the Code: ↑ ↑ ↓ ← → ← to access the final Video Deletion.

Call #3 – Housekeeping: Requires Mobility & Charisma; it has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Charisma.

Call #4 – #1 Phenoma-Fan: Requires Charisma, Combat, & Mobility.

Call #5 – Haunting On Cravens Ave: Requires Intelligence & Charisma but can be instantly completed if Malevola is sent on the Call. If not, you will need to make a Charisma or Intelligence Check.

Call #6 – Roast of Mayor Yao: Requires Charisma & Intelligence.

Call #7 – Red Alert: Requires Vigor, Combat, & Charisma; has a Bonus Requirement of 8 Combat.

Hero Training: Send a Hero to Hero Training if any are available to do so; I recommend Waterboy/Phenomaman to undo their negative trait.

Call #8 – LARP Gone Wrong: Requires Charisma. We will then have to perform a Mobility, Combat, Charisma, or Vigor Check.

Call #9 – Yachtie Afterparty: Requires Vigor, Combat, & Mobility; it has a Bonus Requirement of 9 Mobility.

Call #10 – Delivery Bots: Requires Vigor & Mobility; it has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Vigor.

Call #11 – Melt the Ice / Break the Ice: We can send only Flambae, or a team to match Combat & Vigor requirements.

Call #12 – Shipment Down: Requires Vigor & Mobility; has a Bonus Requirement of 5 Intelligence.

Call #13 – Reprogram the Bots: Requires Mobility & Intelligence; has a Fail Requirement of 4 Combat.

Call #14 – Sewer Surveillance: Requires Mobility but can be instantly completed if Sonar is sent. If not, you will have to perform an Intelligence or Charisma Check… that will lead into a Vigor Check.

Achievement #17 – Career Development: Aced your performance review.
We will earn this Achievement after leveling up Robert’s performance score three times; it is a hard to miss Achievement unless you often Fail Calls.

Achievement #18 – Modded: Reached Bonus & avoided Fail Stats on all Calls in a Shift.
This Episode is the easiest to earn this Achievement on as only 6/14 Calls have Bonus or Fail Requirements we need to reach or avoid. We are allowed to Fail Bonus Requirement Calls so long as we met the requirements before dispatching Heroes on the Call.

Episode #6: We will skip our Night Shift today & go home early; we will have some uninvited guests however… Eventually, Royd will discover the location of the Astral Pulse in a warehouse by the docks.

When Invisigal brings up going to the warehouse herself, make sure not to support that decision; for this playthrough, we will be earning her “Evil Ending” & need to be hard on her/not support her decisions. Do not support her in the proceeding argument either…

Alternatively, though if you are Romancing Invisigal for this playthrough, do not do that & support her as we want to get her “Good Ending”. Save the “Evil Ending” for the Blonde Blazer Romance arc.

Hack Level #19 – Boat Spatial Data: Story Related. Regardless of what we say, Invisigal will go to the warehouse anyways & try to find the Astral Pulse… & she is clearly over her head. We will not be timed for this Hack Level.

The Code to build the path ahead will be ↑ ↑ →. We then just have to match the Frequency.

Hack Level #20 – Bridge Crew Door: Story Related. We will be timed for this Hack Level. The Code is ← ← ↑ →.

Hack Level #21 – Speaker Tower: Story Related. We will be timed for this Hack Level but it is pretty straightforward & just requires us to manipulate some Electricity Nodes.

Hack Level #22 – Loading Crane: Story Related. We will be timed for this Hack Level & it has two Anti-Viruses. We can skip the entire Level using the Code right off the bat which is ← ← ← →.

Hack Level #23 – Captain’s Safe: Story Related. We will be timed for this Hack Level & it has many Anti-Viruses… which segways into the below Achievement very well – be sure to check it out. Evade around the Level & get to the Electricity Nodes as fast as possible; kill 3 Anti-Viruses in less than 15s to unlock the Anti-Anti-Virus Club Achievement. If you can’t, ignore it, & we can save this for on playthrough two.

Deal with the Anti-Viruses, then search out the three Safe Encryption Keys.

There is no Story Related Achievement for beating this Episode for some reason…
Sequence 10: I Was There That Night...
1. Episode: Retrospective
2. Hack Level: 24/28
3. Achievements: 19/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #7 – Retrospective:

Episode #7: This Episode will begin with us in the past as a young Robert speaking to Chase. Similarly to choosing a Donut, during this flashback memory Chase will ask us what we want him to get us from the store & we need to choose the “least popular Item” which is tracked by overall Player choices.

Currently, the least popular Item is the: Cigar. We will not unlock the Achievement until the end of the Episode.

Speak with Blonde Blazer in the infirmary & Waterboy at the vending machine.

Day Shift:
For this Shift, we will be down Invisigal.

Call #1 – Beached Whales: Requires Vigor & Mobility.

Call #2 – Land Slip’n’Slide: Requires Mobility & Intelligence; it has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Intelligence.

Call #3 – Up-Chuck: Requires Vigor & Combat but can be instantly completed with Golem or Punch Up.

Hack Level #24 – Runaway Car: This Hack Level will disappear if we take too long to respond to the Call. It is timed, & there are three Anti-Viruses. Use the Electricity Pylons to dispatch them.

The Code is ← → → ←.

Rogue Golem: At this point in the Call, Golem will go rogue & Injure himself as well as leave the roster & make him Busy, creating the next Call.

Call #4 – Self-Sabotage: Requires Vigor & Charisma; completing this Call will bring Golem back to SDN to Rest. He will still be Injured.

Call #5 – Farmers Market Attack: Requires Combat & Vigor; has a Fail Requirement of 9 Combat.

Call #6 – Rescue Bone Zone: Requires Mobility & Vigor; has a Bonus Requirement of 8 Combat.

Call #7 – Polarizing Interview: Requires Intelligence & Charisma.

Hero Training: A Hero Training will become available if you have anyone around to send.

Call #8 – Running Late: Requires Mobility; has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Mobility.

Call #9 – Play It Safe / Go All Out: Requires Mobility & Intelligence with a Fail Requirement of 8 Combat or Combat & Vigor with a Bonus Requirement of 8 Combat.

Call #10 – The Floodening: Requires Intelligence & Mobility but can be instantly completed by sending Waterboy.

Call #11 – Fire In the Rain: Requires Vigor & Mobility; has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Mobility.

Episode #7: After the Day Shift, we will meet with the other Z-Team Heroes in the boardroom to discuss Invisigal’s fate; if this is the Blonde Blazer route agree to cut her from the team, if it is the Invisigal route then defend her actions.

No Romance: Missable. This only matters if you are doing the Invisigal route; if you are Blonde Blazer, ignore this. The moment the scene transitions from the boardroom into the change room, the game will Save, & you need to immediately exit your game. At the Menu, duplicate your Save so you now have an alternate Save to pick up from this moment in Episode #7 as it is important.

This alternate Save will help us not have to replay the game fully a third time for the We Can Just Be Friends Achievement as we can break off our relationship with Invisigal during this scene by saying “We are done” to give us a no Romance arc.

Episode #7: After our discussion with the Z-Team we will go to speak with Invisigal for a heated exchange where she will reveal some big plot. Team Blonde Blazer, be cold, & when she tries to kiss us lean away (if she even does). Team Invisigal, be supportive, & lean into the kiss.

We need a drink. Drive to the bar & answer Blazer’s texts according to your Romance arc, & deal with an obnoxious bar tender however you prefer to.

The rest will play out as it will… there is also no Story Related Achievement for beating this Episode.

Achievement #19 – There. You Happy Now?: Chose the least popular Item from the store.
Missable. We will unlock this Achievement during the Credits decision montage; if you chose the currently least popular Item, Cigar, we will unlock the Achievement when it appears in the montage.
Sequence 11: Hell Has Frozen Over
1. Episode: Synergy
2. Hack Level: 27/28
3. Achievements: 20/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #8 – Synergy:
Note that there are three parts to this upcoming Night Shift & each one technically counts as a separate Shift. Your Heroes may stay Injured, but all your SDN Pharmacy items will be replenished.

Night Shift – Part #1:
This is going to be a rough Shift, when we first log in, only Punch Up, Prism, & Golem will be present. It is very easy to become overwhelmed, & you may not be able to make all Calls. After we complete our first Call, a health bar for Torrance will appear in the top left corner; Failing or Missing Calls will reduce the city’s health.

Achievement #20 – Phoenixes Down: Healed the same Hero twice in a Shift.
Try to send Heroes on Calls solo if you can to be able to take on more Calls’ pay attention to who gets Injured, & if possible Heal the same Hero twice with Malevola or the Pharmacy Patch Up for the Phoenixes Down Achievement.

Though Injuries will be persistent between Night Shift Part 1-3, for the Achievement, those two Injuries must be healed in either Part 1, 2, or 3 to count – they all count as separate Shifts.

Call #1 – Return to Crypto Night: Requires Combat & Vigor.

Call #2 – Evacuation Order: Requires Charisma & Intelligence; has a Bonus Requirement of 6 Charisma.

Call #3 – Bomb Threat: Requires Intelligence & Mobility.

Call #4 – Capture Experiment 1067: Requires Mobility & Vigor.

Hack Level #25 – Locate the Tracker (Flambae): After the first 4 Calls, we will receive a timed Hacking Level to uncover one of our absent Hero’s locations. This Hack Level has a timer as well as a tricky moderate speed Anti-Virus.

What you need to do for this Hack Level is lead the Anti-Virus around the initial square area & get to the Path Node with only two Inputs that is behind it. This will open some paths up. We then need to lure the Anti-Virus up these paths, then re-Hack the Path Node to trap it up here. We can then go over to the harder Path Node with a lot of Inputs & open the path to the Electricity Node. Re-open the path up, lure the Anti-Virus away, then get to the Electricity Node to destroy it.

We can then safely get to the Tracker Node, & we will then have to follow the Frequency twice in the far-right end.

Call #5 – Rescue Flambae: Requires Vigor & Mobility.

Call #6 – Help Brainbook: Requires Intelligence.

Call #7 – Shopping Spree: Requires Combat & Mobility; has a Bonus Requirement of 6 Combat.

Hack Level #26 – Locate the Tracker (Sonar/Coupé) or (Waterboy/Phenomaman): After the previous Call, we will see two new Hack Levels appear that are of our two interchangeable Heroes that we chose this playthrough; we can only save one, but it only counts once for the H4ck3d By R0b3rt Achievement. The Hero we didn’t save will also appear a little bit later into the Shift regardless as well. This Hack Level is timed, & has an unkillable Anti-Virus to juggle.

After the first Path Node, we will need to locate two Frequencies. The first is close to the top left while the final Frequency is over in the isolated upper far right corner where the Anti-Virus is first patrolling.

Call #8 – S-S-S-S-Sewer Bomb: Requires Intelligence.

Call #9 – Rescue Sonar/Coupé or Waterboy/Phenomaman: After we locate their position, we will receive a Call to rescue our Hero. Regardless who the Hero is, this Call requires Mobility & Mobility.

Call #10 – Help Sweetalker: Requires Charisma; can be instantly completed with Sonar or Coupé if you used the Hack Level to rescue them & waited until they could be sent on the Call. Otherwise, you will need to perform a Charisma Check.

Call #11 – Rescue Waterboy/Phenomaman or Sonar/Coupé: Once again depending on which Heroes you chose & who you didn’t perform the Hack Level on, the remaining Hero will also gain a Call to be rescued. This Call also requires Mobility & Mobility.

Night Shift – Part #2:

Call #1 – Boom!: Requires Vigor & Mobility.

Call #2 – Escape Artist: Requires Mobility & Vigor.

Call #3 – Witch Hunt: Requires Combat but it can be instantly completed if Phenomaman is sent. Otherwise, we will need to perform a Charisma or Intelligence Check.

Call #4 – The Summoning: Requires Vigor, Combat, & Mobility.

Call #5 – Return of the Kaiju: Requires Combat & Mobility. We will then have to make a Combat or Vigor Check.

Hack Level #27 – Lockdown: This is a timed Hack Level & it must be accepted before it runs out. It does have a timer but fortunately no Anti-Viruses to worry about.

The Code is ← ← → ↑. Just juggle the Electricity Nodes around to get to the center.

Red Ring Captain: After the first initial Calls, our protected area will greatly expand to most of city; a much higher Call volume will be coming in. What’s worse, is a major Red Ring boss will arrive as well with their own health bar. Not only do we need to complete Calls to keep Torrance’s health bar up, but we then need to also spare time to attack the Red Ring Captain & reduce their own health bar.

For now, we will be under too much pressure from incoming Calls; do not bother attacking the Red Ring Captain yet.

Call #6 – The Torrance Terrors: Requires Combat & Mobility; has a Bonus Requirement of 8 Vigor.

Call #7 – S-S-S-S-Sewer Bomb: Requires Intelligence.

Call #8 – Coffee Run: Requires Mobility.

Call #9 – Roadblock: Requires Combat & Vigor.

Call #10 – Eastside Gang: Requires Combat & Vigor; has a Bonus Requirement of 8 Vigor.

Call #11 – Help Pom Pom: Requires Mobility & Vigor; has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Mobility.

Call #12 – Help Brickhouse: Requires Mobility & Vigor.

Call #13 – Housing Crisis: Requires Vigor.

Call #14 – Defeat Mister Fister: Requires Combat; there is also a Fail Requirement of not surpassing 8 Combat.

Call #15 – Defeat SmileMore: Requires Charisma & Intelligence; there is a Fail Requirement of not surpassing 8 Charisma.

Call #16 – Neighborhood Watch: Requires Vigor. We will be forced to make a Combat, Mobility, or Intelligence Check.

Episode #8: At this point in the Shift, we just cannot keep up with the Calls fast enough (even though you can if you are strategic & leave the Red Ring Captain alone). Now, our Heroes will not have to return back to SDN & can begin Resting as soon as a Call is finished radically increasing how quickly we can send them back out.

Be warned that if your Heroes are idling close to where the Red Ring Captain is there is a chance they can attacked & receive Injuries. Hard to prevent if there are no Calls to divert them to, but something to still keep in mind.
Sequence 12: Da Man Is Mecha Again
1. Episode: Synergy
2. Hack Level: 28/28
3. Achievements: 25/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #8 – Synergy:

Night Shift – Part #3:
As of now, the Red Ring Captain is the priority, but for the All Gas No Brakes, Baby Achievement we do in fact need to successfully defend Torrance & not let its health go to 0 by still completing Calls.

Attack Calls against the Red Ring Captain will typically require Intelligence, Charisma, & Combat; sending our Synergy Level 3 teams is very useful.

Be warned not to defeat the Red Ring Captain (or have Torrance die) too soon as we must survive long enough to get our final Hack Level. Damage the Red Ring Captain as fast as you can manage, but hold them at their last attack Call until we complete the Hack Level!

The Calls will all be listed below. Send teams against the Captain as often as you can but send only 4/5 until after we beat the final Hack Level.

Blonde Blazer: On any Call we are about to Fail for this Shift, Blonde Blazer will arrive to make the Call a Success; we can use this to our advantage to earn the Fool’s Luck Achievement so long as the Hero has a <15% chance to succeed. Sending Waterboy or Injured non-Call appropriate Heroes solo should give you a low Success chance.

Regardless, when she rescues a Hero she is then added to the roster though she shouldn’t be sent after the Captain otherwise they will attack the city & deal damage to it.

Call #1 – Atomic Automatons: Requires Mobility, Combat, Mobility; this is a very good Call to attempt the below Achievement as there is a big delay in when another Call comes in.

Achievement #21 – Overkill: Covered the entire graph on a single Call.
By this point in the game, all our Heroes should be Rank 10 or close to it. Especially early on in this Shift, look for Calls with 3-4 Slots & try to “max out the graph” by having your Heroes accumulate their Skills to have +10 in all of them. There are many different Hero combinations that can do this, but keep it in mind for this Shift.

The Achievement will only unlock when the Call completes. Worst case is you get the Achievement but have to reload if you use up too much of your roster.

Call #2 – We Meet Again: Requires Vigor, Combat, & Mobility.

Call #3 – Entrapment: Requires Mobility & Intelligence. Can be instantly completed using Waterboy or Flambae. Otherwise, we need to perform an Intelligence Check.

Call #4 – Pursue Red Ring: Requires Mobility & Mobility.

Call #5 – Bridge Rescue: Requires Mobility & Mobility.

Call #6 – Get to the Chopper: Requires Mobility, Vigor, Intelligence; has a Bonus Requirement of 8 Combat.

Call #7 – Help Equilibrium: Requires Mobility.

Call #8 – S-S-S-S-Sewer Bomb: Requires Intelligence.

Hack Level #28 – Defeat Mindf*cker: After the last Call appears, this final Hack Level should appear right after – go to it immediately. Naturally, this Hack Level is timed & will also be a bit confusing.

Roll down the path to the end, backtrack, then backtrack again. Follow the path along, & keep heading to the right to avoid an Anti-Virus. Enter the next area… & our controls will be inverted, but that is the big gimmick. Lock yourself into these new controls, & navigate Anti-Virus free to the end; unfortunately our Path Nodes are also inverted as well.

The inverted control are the big gimmick of the Hack Level & the timer is pretty forgiving if you can get used to the controls.

Achievement #22 – H4ck3d By R0b3rt: Succeeded on all 28 Hacking Levels.
If you were successful in completing all 28 Hack Levels across this playthrough, we will unlock the Achievement after dealing with the Riddler… er Mindf*cker.

We can also earn this Achievement on our second playthrough replay if need be.

This is the hardest Achievement in the game as failing a single Hack Level will mean having to reload your game to your last Save to play it over again.

Finishing Off the Red Ring Captain: As soon as we complete the final Hack Level, we need to B-line & take down the Red Ring Captain before they finish off Torrance. We need to successfully beat 5 Attack Calls on them to defeat them.

For the final Attack Call, the graph will have a full 100% coverage Fail potential; send all you’ve got & if you cannot max out the graph naturally, send a level 3 Synergy duo along for that bonus 15% to make up the difference.

Call #9 – Return of the Delivery Bots: Calls will unfortunately keep coming in, & we will need to stay on top of them still. This Call requires Combat & Intelligence; it has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Intelligence.

Call #10 – Hospital Takeover: Requires Combat & Vigor; has a Bonus Requirement of 7 Vigor.

Achievement #23 – All Gas No Brakes Baby: Protected Los Angeles.
Successfully defeat the Red Ring Captain in 5 Attack Calls before the Torrance health bar reaches zero, & we will unlock this Achievement.

Episode #8: Now, our Shift is done… but the fight isn’t over. It is time to make the man mecha again. Get down to the lab with Royd, & we will be visited by Invisigal; once again, for this playthrough, we will not trust her & go it alone. If you are going the Invisigal route however, do trust her, & have her help us.

With that final decision made, we will now go on to defeat the rest of the Red Ring, & Shroud himself. Make any choices you like during the final fight with Shroud… right up until the end.

Dealing With Shroud: Post fight, we will confront Shroud on the SDN HQ rooftop & this is where our playthrough choices will divert. Which Astral Pulse we choose to give, will also not matter, though giving him both in my opinion is always my favourite option. But it is a decision that will not have any ultimate consequences.

If you are going through the Invisigal arc, scroll down to Sequence 14.

Achievement #24 – Didn’t See That Coming: Failed as a mentor.
Story Related. If you alienated Invisigal from the Z-Team, we will earn this Achievement & her “Evil Ending” after Shroud’s fate is decided.

There is no Achievement tied to forgiving or pardoning the Red Ring Captain.

Achievement #25 – Any Plans Tonight?: Kissed on a car.
Story Related. If you chose to Romance Blonde Blazer, we will unlock this Achievement at the end of the game during our final cinematic.

66% Complete
Sequence 13: The Alternate Timeline
1. Episode: Turnover, Restructure, Team Building, Moving Parts, Retrospective, Synergy
2. Achievements: 32/36
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now it will be time for our second playthrough & mop up to make our alternate decisions from our first playthrough. While we do this as well, keep in mind the other remaining Call related or Miscellaneous Achievements you still need to earn.

Episode #3 – Turnover:

Achievement #26 – Watch Your Back, Robert: Collected a tie.
Story Related. The events of Episode #3 are not important. Play through it until the end & when we have to cut our Z-Team Hero, choose the opposite Hero you chose in your first playthrough.

This is the Achievement for cutting Sonar from the team.

Episode #4 – Restructure:

Achievement #27 – I Wish to Make Love to You Again: Gave him a second chance.
Story Related. We will earn this Achievement at the end of Episode #4 if we chose to add Phenomaman to the Z-Team – alternatively, we will earn the It Smells Very Chemically In Here Achievement instead if you added Waterboy to the roster.

Invisigal: As we are about to leave SDN, we can sit in on seeing Invisigal watching a move; we can join her to begin the Romance arc. Alternatively, we can not, & join Blonde Blazer for dinner instead.

If you chose Blonde Blazer for playthrough one (or you are reading this in leu of that) then go to the movies with Invisigal to begin her Romance arc instead.

Episode #5 – Team Building:

3 Anti-Viruses – 15 Seconds: During the Night Shift when the power goes off, which ever district of Torrance we choose last to Hack will give us an opportunity to earn the Anti-Antivirus Club Achievement for destroying 3 Anti-Viruses in 15s, if we are quick.

Episode #5: At the end of the Night Shift, we will go out to drinks with the Z-Team at the Sardine. At the end of the evening, after we recollect the events, we will have to make a decision: do we tell the Z-Team we are Mecha Man, or do we keep it a secret.

Achievement #28 – That’s, Like, A Real Superhero: Told the truth.
Story Related. For this playthrough, we will tell everyone that we are Mecha Man – unless you chose this for playthrough one. Unfortunately, there will be fallout for this decision & Flambae will become unavailable for next Episode’s Shifts.

Episode #6 – Moving Parts:

Episode #6: If you chose to reveal your identity to Z-Team, Flambae will not be on the roster for the entire Shift. Complete the Shift, then we will have our party back at our place.

Invisigal: When Invisigal brings up going to the warehouse herself, if you are choosing her as a Romance, make sure that you support her decision in going to the warehouse tonight.

3 Anti-Viruses – 15 Seconds: Near the end of Invisigal’s heist at the warehouse, we will have to Hack the Captain’s Safe which will be our next best opportunity to earn the Anti-Antivirus Club Achievement. It is a lot more chaotic, but there are multiple Anti-Viruses available to be destroyed quickly.

Episode #7 – Retrospective:

Episode #7: After the Day Shift, we will meet with the other Z-Team Heroes in the boardroom to discuss Invisigal’s fate; if this is your Invisigal route, do not agree with the team, & defend her.

Invisigal: After our discussion with the Z-Team we will go to speak with Invisigal in the change room; to fulfill our Romance arc here, tell her we forgive her, & make sure to lean into her kiss.

Episode #8 – Synergy:

Achievement #29 – Fool’s Luck: Succeeded a Call with <15% of success.
After the first part of the Night Shift, if we chose Phenomaman to start, Waterboy will be added to the team at a very low Level. Even if he Levels up, do not use his Skill Points until we unlock this Achievement.

Carry on until you reach Part 3 of the Night Shift & should we Fail any Call, Blonde Blazer will arrive to instantly make it a Success.

When the Call – Atomic Automatons appears, send Waterboy on this Call solo & he will have a very slim chance at Success. Blonde Blazer will rescue him, & we will unlock this Achievement.

Invisigal: Either defeat the Red Ring Captain or lose Torrance to get through Part 3 of the Night Shift. Once this happens, SDN HQ will be under attack & we will need to go get the Mecha Man suit. Invisigal will be cuffed to the table; if this is your route with her, choose to free & trust her.

Enter the suit & proceed to defeat Shroud & the Red Ring Captain…

Achievement #30 – Sorry, Kid: Succeeded as a mentor.
Story Related. Head onto the rooftop to confront Shroud & regardless of if we are Romancing Invisigal or not, so long as she was respected throughout the playthrough, give him “a” Astral Pulse & when Shroud is about to shoot us, Invisigal will take the bullet for us instead. This cue will tell us we succeeded, though the Achievement will not unlock straight away; it will unlock after we decide Shroud’s fate.

Achievement #31 – Muuuuurrrdaaaaah!: Chose the path of vengeance.
Story Related. Since Invisigal was redeemed & we got her “Good Ending”, we now have two choices to make regarding Shroud’s fate: spare him or kill him. This is the Achievement we earn for killing Shroud, a most deserved fate.

Whatever decision you don’t make, we will earn in our quick replay of Episode #8 for the “No Romance Run”.

This Achievement will actually unlock after the below one during Star Blazer’s news interview.

Achievement #32 – I’m A Bleeder: Kissed on a stretcher.
Story Related. If you Romanced Invisigal throughout this playthrough, we will earn this cute Ending after Shroud is dealt with when Invisigal is being loaded on to the ambulance.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Episode #7 – Retrospective:

No Romance Arc: If you made the clutch backup Save near the end of Episode #7 after defending Invisigal from being cut from the team & in the Romance arc with her, speak to her in the change room.

To start the No Romance arc, make your decisions as normal, but when the option appears in our second dialogue choice after she reveals she worked for Shroud choose “We’re Done”. This will call off the Romance & reset us to No Romance, but we can still earn her redemption Ending going forward to spare Shroud.

Play out the rest of the Episode as is; still choose to use Track Star for Blonde Blazer’s press release.

Episode #8 – Synergy:
Continue on with this new No Romance Arc, beat the 3 Part Night Shift, trust Invisigal & still have positive dialogue with her, & defeat Shroud. When the time comes, Invisigal should still take the bullet for us, & we can decide Shroud’s fate once more.

Achievement #33 – I Can Confirm He’s A Bad Ass: Chose the path of mercy.
Story Related. For this Achievement, we need to choose to spare Shroud’s life; the Achievement won’t unlock until Track Blazer has his news interview.

Achievement #34 – We Can Just Be Friends: Kept romance out of the workplace.
Story Related. We will know we got this Ending if we break off our relationship with Invisigal with Invisigal & she does not kiss us after she takes a bullet for us. She should get loaded onto the ambulance, & if you do not kiss her here either, you will know you got the correct Ending.

The Achievement will unlock will having beers with Blonde Blazer on the cop car.

Episode #5 – Team Building:
If you are unfortunate not to earn the more chance based Achievements naturally, here are some of the “easier” but no less grindy ways you can do so.

Anti-Antivirus Club: Beat all the way into the Night Shift, & get to the final Hack Level to restore power to the final district of Torrance – the order does not matter, the final Hack Level will just be whatever district is last.

There are exactly three Anti-Viruses to destroy on this Hack Level; the moment we kill the first one, the 15s begins.

As soon as we destroy the first Anti-Virus hack the Path Node to cross into 4x3 square area & immediately rush down to the second Electricity Node to kill the lower Anti-Virus. Then roll over to the top right corner of the 4x3, dodge the Anti-Virus, & kill it with the next Electricity Node here to unlock the Achievement. The timing is tight, but very doable.

If you fail to earn the Achievement, you need to quit the game & try again from your last Save. This is very tedious as it requires you to replay the whole Night Shift close to the very end.

Alternatively, we can attempt the Achievement on the Captain’s Safe at the end of Episode #6; the Checkpoints are a bit better during the warehouse sequence.

Episode #8 – Synergy:

Fool’s Luck: This Achievement is most easily done in Part 3 of the Night Shift by having Blonde Blazer rescue a Hero on a Call that is about to Fail. Send an under-leveled Waterboy or an Injured Hero on a Call they are not specc’d out for, & they should have a Success chance of <15% or lower.

Episode #2 – Onboard:

Achievement #35 – Snake Eyes: Failed a Call with >70% of success.
Similarly to Fool’s Luck, if you were in fact lucky, you will have earned this Achievement naturally over the course of the 100%. If not, we need to grind it out.

During the Day Shift, Call #1 – Lost Balloon will appear. Send Coupé on the Call & she will have exactly a 72% Success chance… & we need her to Fail it. If she Succeeds, reload the Save & try again… & again… & again. This is can be one of the most tedious Achievements to earn in the game if the RNG doesn’t favour you.

Achievement #36 – Dispatched: Collected all 36 Achievements.
Story Related. We will unlock this Achievement after earning the final Achievement we need. Well done.
Conclusion:
Dispatch is an incredible game & is the modern elevation of what Telltale games could have been… though I imagine the budget behind it was quite hefty. Similarly to Telltale games, especially post 100%, the replay-ability is lessoned unless you want to just go in & enjoy the story. But once you have seen it all, that’s about it. Either way, I thoroughly enjoyed the game A LOT, & hope that they go forward with more entries in the series. It only took me around 25 hours to 100% the game with a good chunk of that time coming from replaying Episode #2 for the Shift Was Lit Achievement.
