Better Beefalos (DST -> DS) [BETA]

This mod aims to provide a more comfortable beefalo taming and riding experience by thoughtfully porting features from DST. This modification adds one food item, multiple bells adjusted to better fit the single-player experience, and the ability to protect your woolly friend from accidental hits.

NOTE: Feel free to report bugs and suggest features, for example, interactions while riding, balance changes, etc. in the corresponding threads.

NOTE: The Floatable Items API is recommended but not required. Items won't float, though...





This section describes the mod features more precisely and includes tiny mod details; it may spoil your playing experience.

• FIX: Beefalo no longer spams begging animation.
  
• FEATURE: Added a new food item called "Twiggy Loaf," made from twigs; it is used to more efficiently feed a beefalo.
  
• FEATURE: Added a Beefalo Bell, crafted at the Science Machine with 3x Gold Nugget and 1x Flint, and a Shadow Beefalo Bell, crafted at a repaired Ancient Altar with 1x Guardian Horn, 5x Nightmare Fuel, and 3x Thulecite.
  
• FEATURE: A beefalo bonded to a bell will follow it through the map, across other levels and between worlds; Adventure Mode excluded.
  
• FEATURE: Added protection to prevent force attacks on your pet beefalo; it can be disabled completely in the config or temporarily by using the bell's secondary action on the bell.
  
• FEATURE: Added an end-game bell that allows you to revive the linked beefalo, but applies a curse.
  
• FEATURE: Added a curse that reduces sanity by 100, reduces health by 50%, and deals 5 HP damage every 10 seconds for the next three days.
