Transform your DayZ server with a dynamic fire spread mechanic that brings danger and excitement to every campfire!

## 🎮 What Does It Do?

FireSpread adds realistic fire propagation to DayZ. Light a campfire or torch, and watch as flames randomly spread to nearby locations, creating dangerous fire zones that damage players caught in the inferno.

## 📋 How It Works

1. **Place and light a fireplace or torch on the ground**
2. **Fire spreads automatically** - Every 2 seconds, there's a 30% chance for fire to spread to a nearby location
3. **Chain reactions** - New fires can spread further, creating realistic wildfire scenarios
4. **Damage zones** - Players within 2 meters of any fire take continuous health damage
5. **Auto-cleanup** - Spread fires burn out after 30 seconds automatically

## ⚙️ Configuration

All settings are adjustable in `ProfileFolder/FireSpread/config.json`:

**Spread Mechanics:**
- `SpreadRadius` - How far fires can spread (default: 3.0 meters)
- `SpreadChance` - Probability of spreading per check (default: 0.3 / 30%)
- `UpdateInterval` - How often spread is checked (default: 2.0 seconds)
- `MaxFireLifetime` - Maximum fire duration (default: 600 seconds)

**Damage Settings:**
- `PlayerDamagePerTick` - Health damage per second (default: 5.0)
- `DamageRadius` - Damage range around fires (default: 2.0 meters)

**Control:**
- `Enabled` - Toggle fire spread on/off
- `EnableDebugLogging` - Show detailed console logs

**Realistic Campfire Danger:**
Set low spread chance for occasional fire spread near camps

## 🐛 Troubleshooting

**Fire isn't spreading:**
- Check `Enabled: true` in config
- Verify fireplace is **on the ground** and **burning**
- Increase `SpreadChance` to 1.0 for testing
- Enable `EnableDebugLogging: true` to see detailed server logs

**Can't see fire effects:**
- Verify the mod is installed and enabled in your DayZ launcher
- Check that `@FireSpread` is in your mod list
- Restart your game after subscribing to the mod

**Too much/little spread:**
- Adjust `SpreadChance` (0.0 to 1.0)
- Modify `UpdateInterval` (lower = more frequent checks)
- Change `SpreadRadius` for spread distance

**Damage too high/low:**
- Adjust `PlayerDamagePerTick` (default: 5.0 per second)
- Modify `DamageRadius` (default: 2.0 meters)

## 🎮 Gameplay Tips

- **Be careful near fires** - Standing too close will continuously damage you
- **Fire spreads in all directions** - Don't corner yourself near flames
- **Watch for chain reactions** - Multiple fires can create deadly zones
- **Fires burn out** - Spread fires disappear after 30 seconds
- **Use strategically** - Trap enemies or create area denial zones
