Food & Drink

Town square blue print
A nice green common surrounded by villagers
Everyone has quick access to all food and drink via stone paths.
Late game all food stockpiles can be resupplied via convayor belt

In game picture - some deviations from the blue print

Power
Early on everything is done by hand

Then a couple of treadmills suffice

Eventually you want a real power plant
I start by feeding it wood and once I have power can add in an auto-sawmill and auto-kiln and switch to charcoal which is far more efficient.

Workshops
Design philosophy -
Balance the supply and demand production rates. To that end I use unit production per minute and not how long it takes to produce something.
Use single source convayors rather than mixed convayors to avoid unexpected production halts.
Border your design with say stone roads for easy identification when zoomed out.
Zone your areas to keep your people focused on their tasks.

You can start with just one workshop and a bunch of stockpiles and add workshops as your population increases.
Keep the walk distances as short as possible do inprove your throughput
In the basic workshop setup I tried to keep the distances as short as possible.
I add housing closeby and zone the area to keep the people from wandering away.

In the auto workshop setup each workshop has all three inputs so any workshop can produce any recipie.
You probably have all the stone tool you ever need by now so I tend to set all auto workshops to produce wooden parts
I have spaced out the design for clarity. You can compress it if you want.

Auto sawmill produces 12 boards per minute
Auto stone cutter produces 6 stone blocks per minute so I use two of them to keep the production line supplied
Each Auto workshop produces 4 items per minute so 3 auto workshops consume the supply exactly.

I put the wheat at the top just because.

(I use this system with 3 independant inputs for all sorts of things)
Smelting
Early auto smelter

I am not a fan of mixed charcoal and ore convayors as they tend to clog up and stop.
More to follow
I am still playing the campaign
will add more later
