Disclaimer: This is a nonprofit mod for Dominions inspired by the works of Akira Toriyama. Sprites are edited by myself but often ripped from games or sprite resources. Please support the original creator.

--Intro--
Welcome to my first DBZ (Dominions Ball Z) mod. I thought a fun nation to start with would be the Freiza Force. They are a nation of weak starting units (although descent gear) who can summon in multiple unique units that are thug-able and even super combatants.

This mod contains:
-24 total units (across form changes, troops, commanders and 1 pretender)
-New spells for the faction (ki blasts)

--Strategies--
You will always start off with a 3 astral commander in the form of Freiza's ship. Many of the summons depend on this units existence, so protect at all costs and don't teleport around. It is bad in combat and mostly only usable for research. Your starting units and roster is sufficient for expansion so can afford to take dormant/imprisoned. Now you need to decide on your early research targets which will open the different play styles of this nation:

-Thaumaturgy and the Saiyans
Your only sacred units are Saiyans. Better than your normal chaff, although cause unrest. Whilst starting as a cap only Sacred, further down the research tree you will be able to summon in units in any province with a lab. You will need to call upon prince Vegeta to help cast the Saiyan related summons, but once you get an Elite Saiyan Commander, he will fill this role, freeing up Vegeta. The Elite Saiyans are fierce and can become the giant Ozoru, or Great Apes to crush their foes in battle.

-Conjuration and the Ginyu Force
From conjuration 3, you can use the one time summon of the GInyu Forces (minus Ginyu himself). Each member will increase your magic diversity or can be used as thugs if you wish. Conj4 brings in Ginyu who will elevate you to astral 4 to allow the summoning of Freiza and his brother. Both brothers have access to powerful evocations but you will have to venture into Enchantment to unlock Freiza's true potential.

-Enchantment and the transformations
Conj 3 and 5 unlock new transformations for Freiza. These are one time only events but worth it.

Evocation and the Ki Blasts
-Evo 2 unlocks most of the Ki Blasts. I'd recommend getting these early.

--Conclusion--
You have multiple early-mid game options, do you focus on Ginyu's and Freiza or harness the power of the Saiyans?

--Balance--
This is not made for competitive play, but just for fun. I have tried to keep unit stats in line with vanilla, but during testing, found it difficult to balance expansion. Initially the starting roster was too weak...now all Ki blasts have AP which is much easier. For now, will leave it where it is, the basic troops are meant to be somewhat weak so you rely on stronger summonables to fill out your forces.

--FAQ/Notes--
Why do all the units have invun10?
I wanted this to be part of the armour of the units. I had the idea of the Freiza Force battle armour being good at deflecting physical blows but bad against anyone magically attuned, but currently you cannot edit armour much outside of basic stats. As such, I've just thrown invun10 on everyone to represent this. Your standard units will still easily die, as most have prot against mundane of roughly 18, but drops down to 10 against anything magical.

Why middle aged?
I feel this is the most balanced age and the one I have the most familiarity with.

Why no heroes?
I used all the units I wanted to with the summons. The only characters I've omitted are ones with lack of decent sprites (Dedoria). Any cool characters, you will have to summon in.

Why does it ask me to pay additional gems when summoning the uniques?
With uniques, I have found it abusable if using just normal summon monsters (allowing map teleporting and circumventing immortal cooldown timers). To work around this, I have used some spaghetti coded event chains reliant on 2 things, temporary global enchantments and the existence of Freiza's ship. Simply never put additional gems into these enchantments as there will be no additional impact gained, all of these event summons are one time only.

Why do all the uniques have immortality?
Because playing with cool units is fun. If you lose the prince of all Saiyans in a random event or Captain Ginyu gets diseased and dies from a random site, the faction progression is stopped. As such, all uniques have immortality of various cooldowns. This is usually over a year so you are punished for losing them, but at least your game plan isn't ruined because of it. A way to envision it, Freiza's ship contains healing pods (hence the heal 30%). Any defeated commanders are brought back to the ship to heal in the pod and must wait before being fighting fit again.

This and the Final Fantasy mods are both super fun departures from the baseline. This one seems to be marginally more balanced but I do appreciate fun taking the front seat for these <3

The ki blasts seem to cause massive friendly fire casualties, and since all troops use them, all troops kill each other
