Content

This mod adds 8 new weapons to the game from Fallout (with some slight alterations to better fit Barotrauma aesthetically).
Balanced to not differ too much from Barotrauma's own weapons.

Most are only found in wrecks, abandoned outposts or pirate ships and use base game ammunition types. Functioning as rare variants of the games standard weapons. Blueprints can also be found allowing you to craft them.


All with custom sounds, reload animations...




And fire animations.





Incompatibility
Any mods that override "defensebotround" and "defensebotammobox" from the base game might cause issues with one of the weapons. All other mods should be compatible.

Note: This mod is very much intended to be used with Guns Enhanced so that the base weapons also have reload mechanics.

Multiplayer issues
Animated weapon mods usually don't animate properly when playing online, this is due to the server only updating item condition after a 0.15 second delay by default. m1 grand is powerful as vanilla sniper rifle and fast as revolver, the silenced submachine gun are completelly useless against everything that is not a naked human or his head. Alpha and omega, 2 absolutely joke weapons

By the way, is it just me or is the BR a little 'detached' from character's back when not holding it, looks like it's kinda floating behind character.

Oh and If you are going to work on AMR in the future (and much appreciated if you do), I think make it a deadly sniper rifle specialized for long range single target elimination (or multiple if you can line them up somehow) would be cool, much slower firerate than the others due to it being bolt-action(I love that pulling sound), but one shot one kill, bad for fighting crowd but death sentence to lone enemy, and its most powerful explosive rounds can even damage those behemoth monsters badly but require lots of materials to make, the really expensive type, back in FNV these ammo cost me tons of caps to buy from the gun runners. Still remember a crit hit from explosive round ragdolled the Alpha Deathclaw when I wasn't even sneaking.

I think assault rifle has way more ammo capacity in one mag,which means no need to reload that often when facing crowd or a tanky enemy, even keep them relatively stunned at a distance( beat cop talent), also the vanilla weapons don't have reloading animation...generally safer to use in short encounters. Giving the BR a scope could actually give it an edge over AR and HMG, making it a better choice when scouting. As for FNV BR, I misremembered the details, you are right, it doesn't have a scope, my bad, went back to FNV and checked on my This Machine...lol

Regarding the AMR, yeah that would be a cool addition. It's on the list of stuff to do if I can put in the effort.

The Battle Rifle fires almost 4 times faster than Barotrauma's
rifle while having the same damage per shot and using the same easy to make/buy ammo.
If it wasn't a toolbelt slot weapon it would be way too powerful.
It has nearly identical dps to the assault rifle but with more armor penetration, better accuracy and
rifle rounds get a bonus to headshot damage on top of the normal enemy weakspot modifier.

As for the scope slot, the Battle Rifle could not be equipped with a scope in New Vegas... but that shouldn't really be relevant to this mod.
I might add a scope later on (don't want to use Barotrauma's scope as it doesn't fit and the sprite is pretty ugly)

so I found out that the battle rifle does not have a scope slot, only a flashlight slot, but both in vanilla and FNV a scope can be mounted on it to actually zoom in on far away enemies. If this weapon is a variant of vanilla's Rifle, surely it should also have a scope slot to snipe, otherwise its slower firerate makes it inferior to most automatic weapons which have way better crowd control for short range encounters.

Also this weapon can not be put in the hotbar slot unlike the vanilla version, it's the same as bigger top tier guns like HMG, somehow I don't think it's worth it for its current state

Enhanced Armaments? I don't know, I haven't used that mod. This mod's reload system is taken from Guns Enhanched, with some minor tweaks to it. And with entirely different animations ofcourse.

are the weapons reloading similar to armament?
