This is just a basic info dump on how large the train stations are.

TLDR: The small station have a larger corner to station size than the large station, allowing you to fit it closer (or capture) a larger portion of a building.

Small train station
The small train station catchment area is 2 hexes smaller than the large train station.

The longest dimension is 8 hexes away from the edge, on the station side.

The small dimension is 7 hexes away from the edge, on the track side.
Large train station
The large train station catchment area is 2 hexes larger than the small train station.

The longest dimension is 7 hexes away from the edge, on the track side.

The small dimension is 6 hexes away from the edge, on the station side.

But if you press CTRL + F1 in a game, you can send a bug report to the dev.

i have tried useing the salvage tol but still can not reove track even click on pylon nothing
i think it is stuck on the map need's to be fixed as i have track all over the city looks bad
please fix this

You can use the salvage tool to remove track. But I've found you have to click on the track pylon, not the track itself.
