Counter-Strike has always thrived because of its community, and allowing workshop knife models would be another huge step forward. Players have spent years creating high-quality, innovative weapon designs, yet knives remain one of the most limited parts of the game. We want to see these workshop knives added into the official gameplay. Here’s why:

Knives are some of the most iconic items in CS2. Allowing creators to submit workshop models—and having them actually appear in the official game—would unleash a massive wave of creativity and keep players excited about cosmetics in the long term.

🎨 Expanding the Workshop = Expanding Opportunity
The Steam Workshop already fuels a huge part of CS2’s cosmetic ecosystem. Adding knives to the Workshop with the possibility of being accepted into official gameplay would let artists contribute entirely new shapes and ideas, making the marketplace richer and more diverse.

Workshop knife designs would generate huge demand if added to the official game. Just like skins and cases, new community-made knife models would become a major part of the economy, benefiting Valve, creators, and players alike.

All of our CS2 knife models were created entirely in 3ds Max, with all texture work produced in Substance 3D Painter following PBR (Physically Based Rendering) standards.

The textures shown are demonstration textures meant to showcase the models’ potential. If Valve chooses to include any of these knives in the game, I will update and refine the textures as needed to ensure full compatibility with their implementation guidelines and in-game requirements.
