TLDR
  • Marathon mode requires you to transit through nine maps in a specific sequence without dying, starting at Ground Zero and ending with a successful extract on Shoreline.

  • The route is: Ground Zero -> Streets of Tarkov -> Interchange -> Customs -> Factory -> Woods -> Reserve -> Lighthouse -> Shoreline.

  • Completing the full Marathon nets you 100,000 EXP, 400,000 to 460,000 Roubles, a THICC weapon case, and +0.05 Fence reputation.

  • Labs is NOT required for the Marathon achievement (it's only needed for a separate quest called "Beneath the Streets").
How to Get the Marathon Achievement in Escape From Tarkov
First thing you need to know is this isn't your regular raid. When you select your PMC, you'll see a red "Marathon" text with a flame icon in the top right corner of the map selection screen. Click that. The map dots turn red and Ground Zero gets auto-selected for you. There's no going back to your stash between maps either, so pack accordingly.

You'll want to bring roubles because you get a 3x4 transfer area between maps where you can send loot back to your stash, just like the BTR system works. If you forget money you can still transit, you just won't be able to offload gear.

The correct route matters a lot. Ground Zero to Streets of Tarkov first. Then Streets to Interchange. After that it's linear: Customs, Factory, Woods, Reserve, Lighthouse, and finally Shoreline. This is nine maps total. If you deviate from this order, you'll lock yourself out of the achievement completely.

Note: Labs is accessible as an optional side route from Streets of Tarkov, but it is NOT required for the "From Beginning To End" Marathon achievement. Labs is only required for a separate quest called "Beneath the Streets" given by Therapist. If you want to complete both quests simultaneously, you'll need a Labs access keycard and will need to visit: Ground Zero -> Streets -> Labs -> Streets -> Interchange -> Customs -> Factory -> Woods -> Reserve -> Lighthouse -> Shoreline.

Transit Mechanics
Each map loads you into a normal PVP raid at the start. You're not joining mid-raid ever. The transit extract appears as red text with a 7-minute countdown timer. Press O twice to check it. Once that timer hits zero, the text turns orange and about ten seconds later you can walk to the transit zone. You'll get a prompt to interact.

Transit locations are the same spots you marked for Skier's sightseeing task if you did that. Here's where to find each one:

Ground Zero to Streets of Tarkov
Next to the Mira Ave extraction, near the green flare extract by those two orange trucks.

Streets of Tarkov to Interchange
Head to the crashed helicopter PMC extract. The transit is next to the trash and dumpster in the opposite corner from the helicopter.

Streets of Tarkov to Labs (Optional - Not Required for Marathon)
Go to the residential zone near Klimov Street. Look for the Cosmonaut building - a green building with an alleyway. Go through it, take a right, find the door at the end, go down the stairs.

Labs to Streets of Tarkov (Optional)
On the first level behind the Dome between the two dark offices. Look for the open elevator.

Interchange to Customs
On the highway in that corner nobody ever goes to. Keep left of the guard rails, head toward the rubble and train cars near the Ultra sign side.

Customs to Factory
By the old gas station, specifically at that large metal door in the corner near one of the tankers.

Factory to Woods
Factory's new courtyard area. Enter the offices from the front left door, first door on your right, vault through the window into the courtyard, back right corner by the truck and partially open gate.

Woods to Reserve
At the RUAF roadblock extract on the southern part of the map. Walk up to the wall for the prompt.

Reserve to Lighthouse
Behind the armored train building (White Rook), go through the hole in the barbed wire, take a left to find the sign near another opening.

Lighthouse to Shoreline
Right next to the path to Shoreline extract at that enclosed trailer.

Final Extract
Once you reach Shoreline you just extract normally. There's no special transit location on the final map. Any regular extract works. Some players report getting the achievement the moment they transit into Shoreline, others say you need to actually extract. Either way, survive the raid and you're done.
What Happens If You Die or Extract Early
Die anywhere in this sequence and you start over from Ground Zero. Same if you extract normally before finishing. The whole thing takes anywhere from 3 to 6 hours depending on how fast you move and how much PVP you run into. Each map gives you the full raid timer but you can transit as soon as that 7-minute lock expires.
Survival Tips
Stamina management matters on the longer maps like Reserve and Lighthouse. Bring food and water since you can't access your stash. If you're planning to knock out other tasks while you're doing this, only grab items that don't need to be turned in to traders. Found in raid status carries over between maps for anything you loot.

The achievement unlocks a bunch of other Marathon-related quests from various traders and Fence is technically the quest giver for the whole event. Rewards are solid: 100,000 EXP, between 400,000 and 460,000 Roubles depending on your Intelligence Center level, that THICC weapon case everyone wants, and +0.05 Fence reputation.

Most people recommend playing it slow. You're in normal PVP raids with players who aren't doing Marathon mode, so expect full lobbies. Let the raid timer tick down on dangerous maps like Interchange and Customs before you move to transit. Better to wait 20 minutes in a bush than restart the whole thing because you rushed into a firefight. The transit stays available after the initial 7-minute unlock, you don't have to take it immediately.
