TLDR
  • Blind Fury unlocks when you eliminate any enemy while your PMC is under the Flash effect, not as a Scav, and it is flagged as a rare achievement in the main game.
  • Easiest way is a controlled self flash on Factory or another tight map using M7290 or Zarya flashbangs or a KS-23M with Zvezda flash rounds, then dumping into a low HP Scav at close range.
  • Practice the timing in offline Practice Mode first, but remember offline raids never save progress or achievements, so do your real attempt in a live PMC raid only.
How to Get the Blind Fury Achievement on Escape From Tarkov
But first, you have to know what the game wants from you. Blind Fury in the main Escape From Tarkov client unlocks when you kill any enemy while your PMC is under the Flash effect. The game does not care if it is a Scav, PMC, raider, rogue or boss. It does care that you are on your PMC and that the kill happens during the Flash debuff. Scav raids do not count, and offline Practice Mode is just for training, so anything you do there will never give you the achievement.

For the kit, think close range and simple. A 12 gauge semi auto like an MP-153 or MP-155 with buckshot, or a budget SMG like a PP-19-01 or MP5, is more than enough to erase a weakened Scav at 5 to 10 meters. Pair that with light or mid tier armor, a headset, and a laser so you can hip fire while the entire screen is white. What really matters are the tools that cause the Flash effect in the first place, so bring proper flashbangs like the M7290 or Zarya, or a KS-23M loaded with Zvezda rounds if you are comfortable with that shotgun. All of these can blind you if they go off close enough, which is exactly what you need here.

Map choice is a big deal. Factory (day) is the go to pick because it is tiny, loud, and full of tight angles where enemies are forced into close fights. Queue in as a PMC with one or two flashbangs hotkeyed and your shotgun or SMG ready. Find a regular Scav, chip him down until he is clearly low, then throw a flash off a nearby wall or at the floor so it explodes in view of both of you. As soon as the flash goes off and your screen turns white, aim roughly where you know he is standing and hip fire or short burst until he dies. If all conditions are met, Blind Fury will pop just like any other achievement.

You do not have to self flash if you really hate it, but it is far more consistent than waiting for another player to do it for you. You can also play normal PvP spots on Factory like office or elbow, eat the enemy flash, and swing through the white screen for a kill, which sometimes gives Blind Fury by accident once you know the common angles. If you want to be extra efficient, you can line this up with Jaeger’s Huntsman Path: Controller quest, since that one also cares about stun effects, and clear both in the same kind of fights. Either way, Blind Fury is marked as a rare achievement for a reason, yet once you build one or two focused Factory kits around self flashing, it turns into something you can knock out in a short session instead of a long grind.
