That's right - the long awaited relaunch of the "Blue Marble" graphics mod! In collaboration with AlgerianGeneral we have officially taken down the previous page - this is now the one, true Blue Marble, maintained by the Darkest Hour team.

Blue Marble lets you take the graphical settings from the Darkest Hour mod - and reuse them anywhere.

Check out our full Darkest Hour total overhaul mod!



Blue Marble includes the following from Darkest Hour:
- Map font ("Bebas Neue")
- Terrain textures
- Border textures
- Shader settings
- Snow/tree settings
- Water settings
- Distance settings

Blue Marble does NOT include:
- Physical map (terrain placement, states, provinces etc)
- Ocean colormap
- Country colors
- Weather data

Alternate versions:
- Standalone Map Font



Q: I have questions, suggestions or requests!

Q: Is it Ironman-compatible?
A: No. Blue Marble makes changes beyond what is allowed for ironman compatibility. A future minimal version with ironman may be release in the future.

Q: Can I reuse these graphics?
A: Yes. Our assets are mostly open-source, with the only requirement being clear credit to the Darkest Hour Project and to the Blue Marble page.



We plan on making additional standalone graphical uploads, for example a stripped ironman version.

This mod is bugged, I cant see all of my national spirits as any country I play. Please fix this my beautiful mod devs whomst I love so very much.

When is it expected the Ironman version of this mod will be completed? Also, what exactly about this mod makes it incompatible with Ironman? I've always wondered how a graphics mod could be incompatible.

same bug where you cannot see more than six national spirits on the UI because the rest are hidden.

There is a bug where you cannot see more than six national spirits on the UI because the rest are hidden. You can easily check this by playing as Japan which starts with eight national spirits and it's only when Blue Marble is enabled that I cannot see them. Hope this gets resolved soon and I appreciate your guys' hard work.
