The purpose of this mod is to give the AI's tools against the player more value.
Building an invulnerable fleet will be complicated, if not impossible.

Fighting a single flotilla against an opponent occupying more lanes will be more difficult.

Weapon accuracy and other stats have been reworked to ensure equal importance of weapon types on the battlefield.
It also includes changes to tactics, laws, and hero skills. Most damage sources have been nerfed, while a few have been buffed.

The difference between "white" and strategic items is much smaller.

In any case, you can still get a lot of bonus damage in the late game.

Flak guns can only reduce damage. Destroying missiles is much difficult. Of course, Tier 5 "kineticists" can easily deal with Tier 1 and Tier 2 missiles. But struggling with torpedoes of the same tier is heavier.

If you don't have fighters, enemy bomber squadrons deal multiple damage if only Flak attacks against them.
Energy fighters are good offensively against enemy fighters. Kinetic fighters are good defensively against enemy bombers.

This quests start after turn 160 at normal speed, rather than the vanilla turn 60.

I can say the strategic energy bomber breaks the AI ship presets by ignoring other squadrons. Without access to these strategic bombers, the AI builds more powerful and diverse carriers. This change also helps balance the game by preserving the value of aviation technologies.


Download the mod here and activate it in the game.

To use the mod in existing saves and avoid achievement blocking, you can install the files manually.

Back up the "Public” folder in the “Endless Space 2” game folder to revert to the previous configuration if necessary.

Copy the "Public" folder with the mod files from the mod location to the game folder, and overwrite the files.
