Pain Sense
Features:

• [EN] Shows injury pop-ups above your character.
• [EN] Notifies when the wound is healed and the bandage can be safely removed.

• [UA] Показує повідомлення про поранення над персонажем.

Compatibility
✅ Tested on Build 42 (singleplayer).
⚠️ Multiplayer and older builds have not been tested yet.
❌ No known conflicts with other mods.

The idea behind Pain Sense was simple — to make the survivor more interactive and expressive, reacting to what happens in the world.
It gives subtle feedback and adds a sense of life and awareness to the character.

I had some issues with the translation code, so I used and adapted part of the logic from a similar mod to make it work correctly.

Next step

Your survivor speaks only when it matters.
Short, immersive lines appear only at real debuffs that actually cut speed, stop sprinting, or reduce damage. Zero spam — just timely warnings that help you survive.

What it does
  • Endurance & Heavy Load — warns when sprint is disabled or movement is heavily reduced.
  • Overheating & Wetness — reacts to heat stress and soaking levels that slow you down.
  • Thirst & Fatigue — lines trigger at near-critical stages that impact recovery and focus.
  • Pain — speaks up when damage/accuracy drops due to strong pain.
  • Clothing Damage — notifies when clothing gets new holes (e.g., “Damn, ripped my pants!”).
  • Bandage Healed Reminder — optional nudge when a wound is ready to be unbandaged.

All messages are edge-triggered with a built-in cooldown, so you won’t see repeats while the state persists.

Why it’s different
  • Debuff-gated: lines appear only when stats have real gameplay impact.
  • Clean & readable: short text above the character, no UI clutter.
  • Build 42 first: tuned for current moodles and thresholds.

Settings
  • Toggle categories (endurance/heat/pain/clothes/etc.).
  • Minimum interval between lines.
  • Style presets: Concise, Immersive, Roleplay.
  • Localization: EN / UA / RU.

Roadmap
  • MP compatibility.
  • Hunger & cold near-critical barks.
  • Finer heat/wetness triggers and extra anti-spam tuning.
  • More injury-specific lines (per limb).

Compatibility & Performance
  • Build 42 (Singleplayer) tested.
  • Lightweight checks (once per in-game minute) with brief instant reactions where needed.
  • Should be compatible with most UI/survival mods (no UI overrides).

  • «Нет сил — бежать больше не могу.»

  • «Чёрт, штаны порвал!»

bug - if you have stiched deep wound and bandage on top, it continuously spamming that you can remove the bandage and wound is healed, but it's not, if you remove the bandage the stiches are there and if you remove the stiches the wound is deep wound again, minor issue but annoying

I had no intention of advertising; it’s just a mod for myself, and it might be useful to like-minded people as well. In my opinion, the image is quite informative — you can’t make everyone happy.
