Jagged Alliance 2 is a very complex game and it took me a good while to make this intuitive and comfortable controller configuration

only the DualShock 4 / DualSense controller and the Steam Deck have enough input options to make this even remotely feasible

this config offers button combos to quickly access some common actions as well as virtual menus that make control more self-explanatory

has all relevant vanilla hotkeys, probably most 1.13 hotkeys too, all labeled, right touchpad is mouse, while holding R1 becomes a merc action menu, left touchpad is merc selection, with R1 becomes squad selection, R1 + RS shows a radial menu for UI, R1 + LS shows radial menu for the map screen

i made this config mostly for Steam Deck users like me, but if you like to play laying on the couch you might enjoy this, assuming you have a PlayStation controller

some of the button combos might seem daunting to memorize, but a lot of those actions can be performed via the virtual menus you can access by pressing R1 + touchpads, the combos are there to make it quicker once you get comfortable with the config

also remember Control, Shift and Alt have a ton of context sensitive actions, i made sure those 3 keys were always available while using the cursor in this config
