If you're trying to copy save files; it may all be for naught if the Steam Cloud auto-backup undoes your work; I recommend disabling the Steam cloud before moving save files. You can always turn it back on afterwards.

To do this, right click on the game in your library and select "Properties..."

Then, in the general tab, deactive the option under the "Steam Cloud" section.

You can also turn it off globally in the Settings menu in Steam.

And of course: back-up any of your own save files before you copy over them.

This one's pretty easy, in Windows, at least:

There will be a folder for each Steam account - It doesn't seem to be your Steam ID but some other number Capcom generates. For example, our family uses two Steam accounts so there are two folders:

There are a lot of individual save files for this game: the files MegaMan-00.sav, MegaMan2-00.sav, MegaMan3-00.sav, MegaMan4-00.sav, MegaMan5-00.sav, MegaMan6-00.sav are save states for each game just before you shoot the last shot; load each game and you should be able to quickly get the achievement for clearing the game.

If you copy the Challenge saves (all of them, I didn't test individuals), it will give you all of the challenge achievements, except for the "Dr. Wily Forever" challenge achievement, which you will have to get manually by beating all of the final bosses in less than 12 minutes (you only need a bronze to get the achievement).

Hopefully this helps you in either backing up your save files, unlocking all of the challenges or getting that one last nagging achievement! All files should unlock achievements as I've noted, I tested them on another Steam account in my family (and someday my kids will notice and wonder how they 100%ed this game in a couple of hours!).
