This is simple guide of how to change number of ammo by modifying some files.

i desperately wanted more ammo and was sick of constantly typing "impulse 99" so i dug through wrath game files and found this. im not a modder or programmer, im a just dumb gamer. i found out this by trial and error. i just made this guide hoping someone like me to find it useful.



1. you need 7zip (or whatever zip program that can open pk3 file. im using 7zip)



2. using 7zip, open [pak000.pk3] file under [Wrath \ kp1] folder

ex) d:\games\Wrath\ kp1\pak000.pk3 (this is where i installed wrath)

back up [pak000.pk3] file before you do modifying.




3. inside the [pak000.pk3] file, go to [data] folder, then go to [items] folder

you see [ammount.txt] and [maxammo.txt]




4. change ammo number there

[ammount.txt] contains info about how many ammo you get when you take an ammo pack on the ground.

[maxammo.txt] is about how many ammo you can hold.

i tested several different numbers, and it seemed 999 is the maximum number. ammo count dont go over 999 even if you set it higher than that.




5. save the texts files you edited. and 7zip asks you to update pak000.pk3 file, and click yes.




6. YOU NEED TO RESTART ENTIRE GAME FROM THE BEGINNING
i tried and tried, but i needed to restart the whole game to get 999 ammo. i dont know why.



7. use "impulse 99" cheat code together.

ex) bind z "impulse 99"
