TLDR
  • Wear 12 unique outfits in a single playthrough to unlock Fashionista (the default torpor rags don't count).

  • Each outfit unlocks when you get its corresponding clan ability through the skill tree.

  • You need both Ability Points and Blood Resonance currency to unlock abilities from clans other than your starting clan.

How to Get the Fashionista Achievement in Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
First thing. You need to actually change into the outfits, not just unlock them. Open your pause menu and head to the Appearance tab. That's where you'll swap between outfits as you collect them throughout the game.

Your starting clan gives you one outfit for free when you wake up in your haven. If you picked Brujah, you get The Drifter. Toreador gets The Player. Tremere gets The Trickster. And so on. That's outfit number one without doing anything.

Here's where it gets straightforward. Every time you unlock a clan ability using Ability Points, you automatically unlock the outfit tied to that ability. Your own clan's abilities are cheap to unlock with just skill points. But abilities from the other five clans? Those need Blood Resonance currency first.

You get Blood Resonance by feeding on NPCs who are experiencing strong emotions. Look for people glowing red, blue, or pink when you activate your Heightened Senses. Red means they're angry (pick a fight), blue means they're scared (intimidate them), and pink means they're horny (flirt with them). Feed on them after getting them fully resonated and you'll collect the corresponding Blood Resonance type.

Once Prince Ryong makes you Seattle's sheriff during the main story quest A Star of Cold Aspect, you can visit the six clan contacts scattered around the city. Each contact lets you spend Blood Resonance to Awaken abilities from their clan. After you Awaken an ability at a clan contact's location, you can then spend Ability Points to actually unlock it in your skill tree. Boom. New outfit unlocked.

The clan contacts are: Niko for Banu Haqim at Aurora Pawn, Silky for Brujah at The Dutchman, Mrs. Thorn for Tremere at Wake The Dead, Patience for Toreador at Aurora Pawn's backroom, Onda for Lasombra at The Glacier Hotel Lobby, and Fletcher for Ventrue at Makom Bar.

Since you need 12 outfits and you start with one, that means unlocking 11 more abilities. Your starting clan probably has four outfits total, so you'll need to dip into other clans' ability trees. This happens naturally if you're exploring the skill system anyway. Just remember to actually equip each outfit once after unlocking it. The achievement tracks outfits worn, not outfits owned.

Pro tip. Your outfit choice affects how NPCs react to you during Blood Resonance feeding. Wearing The Priest makes citizens more trusting. Wearing Brujah biker gear makes you look intimidating. Wearing flashy Toreador outfits makes you seem seductive. Match your outfit to the resonance type you're hunting and NPCs respond better.
