Right Hand Melee Attachment Patches
9 件物品
描述
Patches all fire axe related animations to allow custom models to attach to the right hand without visual discrepancies.

Uses xdReanimsBase and occupies slot 14 for each survivor.

Please note this does NOT attach the fire axe to the right hand, it only modifies the relevant animations to ensure visual consistency. To attach the fire axe to the right hand, additional modification must be made to the model to use the appropriate bone.

The default fire axe model with this modification is available as a separate addon, Right Hand Fire Axe Model Patch. Custom models that do not include this modification will remain attached to the left hand.

@kouga I plan on writing a guide for those who want to port custom models to these animations, which will provide source files for convenience. If you're following me on Steam you should be notified when it gets posted. I'll try to write it up some time next week.

This has always bugged me since I first started playing L4D. Not noticeable during normal gameplays but it is hard to ignore once you do. The axe just flails around weightlessly when someone interacts with something, though I'm not surprised this fell under Valve's radar.

@Inco thats fine, could you maybe tell me what modifications you made to the models so i could maybe do it myself?

@kouga Not at the moment, no. I don't use the riot shield unlocker, so it's not a priority for me right now.
