Drawing Boards

A necessary addon is needed for those who have problems with FPS.
If you don't have any FPS issues, you don't have to subscribe to the required content.



Drawing Boards is a comprehensive addon that brings fully drawable surfaces to Garry's Mod. Featuring three beautifully crafted board types and intuitive drawing tools, this addon is perfect for roleplay servers, educational scenarios, or creative building projects.


🎨 3 Drawable Boards: Chalkboard, Whiteboard, and Little Whiteboard
✏️ 2 Drawing Tools: Chalk and Marker with multiple colors
⚡ Quick Color Switch: Press R to instantly change colors (made for convenience)
🎛️ Customizable Settings: Adjust drawing size, erase radius, and colors via menu (Press T to open menu)


📦 Spawning Boards:
Press Q → Tools tab → Drawing Boards category → Boards section
Choose from: Chalkboard, Whiteboard, or Little Whiteboard. There are also settings for lighting and board physics.

🛠️ Getting Tools:
Press Q → Weapons tab → Drawing Tool category
Select: Chalk Tool or Marker Tool

In-Game Controls:

• Left Mouse Button: Draw on boards
  
• Right Mouse Button: Erase drawings
  
• Shift+R Key: Full cleaning of drawings on chalkboard, whiteboard or little whiteboard
  
• R Key: Quick color cycling (convenient fast switching)
  
• T Key: Open settings menu (full customization)

Console Commands:

• chalk_clear - Clear all chalk drawings (To clear the chalkboard of drawings, be sure to look at it.)
  
• marker_clear - Clear all marker drawings (To clear the whiteboard or little whiteboard of drawings, be sure to look at it.)
  
• db_reset - Reset all board settings to default
  
• db_cleanup - Remove all boards from the map

Board Configuration Commands:

• db_type [type] - Set board type (chalkboard, whiteboard or little_whiteboard)
  
• db_physics [0/1] - Toggle board physics (0 = off, 1 = on)
  
• db_light [0/1] - Toggle board lighting (0 = off, 1 = on)
  
• db_lr [0-255] - Set light red color component
  
• db_lg [0-255] - Set light green color component
  
• db_lb [0-255] - Set light blue color component
  
• db_brightness [1-10] - Set light brightness level (the default value is 6)
  
• db_distance [100-500] - Set light distance (the default value is 200)

• Color Selection: Multiple colors for chalk and markers
  
• Brush Size: Adjustable drawing thickness
  
• Erase Radius: Customizable erase area size
  
• Board Settings: Lighting options and physics properties
  
• Bind the key for menu: The ability to assign a another key to the tools menu in the Q menu. For example, instead of the T key, you can use the E key.

• Server-side Sync: All drawings are synchronized across all players (SOON!!)
  
• Optimized Performance: Smooth drawing experience with efficient rendering

• Tool Compatibility: Chalk works only on chalkboards, markers work on whiteboards and little whiteboard
  
• Lighting Options: Adjustable board illumination settings
  
• Customization of boards: It is possible to remove/add elements to the board in the C menu. For example, remove the lamp and shelf from the chalkboard and then you will have a simple board without elements.
