How to get 1 million points in the arena?
Initial Choice
To start, we take 3 core items: the hammer, the dagger, and the magic shield shown in the screenshot below . We only keep the magic shield for the final build; the hammer and dagger are the most expensive items and are to be sold to earn some extra coin.

Build
I think those who have beaten the game have already discovered the "cheesiness" of one of the builds. We are, of course, talking about the bomb build, which deals magic damage. For the build to work properly and for us to have a capital of coins, we need to have the shield, lightning, diamond, and the bomb itself. These are the symbols we must have in our slots

Next, let's move on to the upgrade assembly. Here, things are not as straightforward or rosy as one might hope at first glance. The whole point lies in the limit of 8 upgrades, but it can be bypassed, though not so quickly or simply. How can you even get more than 8 upgrades? The answer is obvious. To have 9 or 10 upgrades (10 is the maximum number you can have), you only need to buy 7 upgrades and hope that 2 or 3 upgrades are offered to you. But it's not that simple. Upgrades have an "Offer Pattern" where no matter how many times you refresh, you will keep seeing the same set of 3 upgrade offers.

The "Offer Pattern" only resets if you sell or buy something new, be it an upgrade or a slot symbol. The best build for the start will look like the one in the screenshot.

Upgrade Variations and Explanations
Getting 10 specific upgrades is quite difficult; getting 9 is much easier. But now I will explain which upgrades are mandatory, which can be skipped, which can be easily replaced, and which should be swapped out during the arena run.
From the screenshot above, from left to right:
  • Gem is a very useful item, take it 100% of the time. It provides unlimited gold. Later, when everything is upgraded, it can be sold if you have 8 upgrades and need space for something else (Before selling, upgrade the Diamond to at least +5 gold per symbol match).
  • Vampirism is also taken 100% of the time. Lifesteal is always needed.
  • Magic Wand is taken 100% of the time. It locks in the damage bonus and also provides a small additional damage bonus to the locked symbol.
  • Extra Life An extra life never hurts, pocket it 100% of the time.
  • Shield Amulet It's not that you can't live without it, but it gives a nice buff. Take it at your discretion.
  • Ring Well, it's so-so. Just for ticking a box early on, before the arena starts kicking you out. You can keep it as a buff because nothing is upgraded initially. Take it as the 9th-10th upgrade if the offer pattern isn't great (better than having only 8). But, not mandatory.
  • Mushroom Not particularly useful either, although it's okay for the start, sell it later. Take it at your discretion.
  • Virgo's Tome Magic damage, more damage. Always take it.
  • Shield Potion Perfect against physical damage + gives 10 to max armor. Take it if possible, almost always.
  • Cheese Always take it at the very beginning and max it out, otherwise you'll get wrecked (Although at 170k points against a level 17 mob, nothing will save you except luck).
I can also note other upgrades that will be useful in the future.

This upgrade allows you to re-spin the slots for a couple of coins. It's advisable to always take it until mob level 17.

The Mirror will duplicate the slot outcome twice. It's a decent alternative, but I preferred the first option more.

In my opinion, if you have an Eye for Diamonds, don't be afraid to take it. If you match the shield, that slot will re-spin.

How to actually play this crazy thing?
Short and simple: we focus on maxing out damage by upgrading bombs, the book, and lightning. Don't forget the shield and cheese for HP and to tank both physical and magic damage. Never let your gold hit zero. A few tries and you'll figure out how to reach 1 million points in the arena. Here's my result, by the way.
