From playing through the demo until I was able to get the first wheel unlock and clear the first world almost everytime, here's some tips to get you started :)

Since this is being wrote after the game fully released and only playing the demo, this guide will become outdated (Unless commenters are able to help)

1: YOUR FIRST RUN WILL END QUICK
--Absolutley neccesary as when you progress through the game, you'll unlock different slot options to be rolled. I got lucky and got a Hammer and a Dagger for my first ones, hopefully you will as well as it'll let you deal more damage, getting more chips to upgrade and slot options.

2: STARTING OPTIONS ARE IMPORTANT!
--Having a good start will help your run develop quickly or slowly, like every rougelite. I recommend going for Poison Damage ASAP as it's pretty overpowered. It ignores shield and attacks health, and each time it's rolled, the damage is increased and lasts a few turns.

3: YOU CAN GET (small) MONEY IN SHOP
--Very useful early game, not so much late but will help manage your roll chances. There's an "X" button on the shop screen after you purchase a slot option, getting rid of the selected powerup and giving some coin in return. As stated, it won't help much late game but very good for managing chance.
AKA: I usually disable the "COIN" starter after purchasing the "Money Bag" or "Banana" since Money Bag will give 1-4 coins, and the Banana is a coin with +10 healing

4: BIG SWORD IS BIG GAMBA
--The first weapon I unlocked, it's great for controlling damage output (Say you wanna get many coins from Egg Boi fight, roll a 0.)
The drawback to this is it doesn't crit, at least that I can tell or I overlooked (Lucky roll that powers up your slot roll) and it takes a second longer than just spamming that "STOP" button.
If you decide to use it, there's a huge advantage from consitant high damage hits for obvious reasons.

5: UPGRADE CHIPS, SPEND EM!!!!!
--I'd recommend getting the Money Increase, and Physical Damage resist first, it'll help you with the first world boss "Queen of Snakes", her damage becomes half your health in no time, and without extra health or heal/llifesteal, she'll quickly end your run.
By getting up to her almost every run, you'll get a good amount of chips to spend at the end of a run, or the main menu before a run.
These chips CAN BE REFUNDED and I'd recommend to do so when you've gotten enough to buy your first Additional Wheel upgrade, more wheels = more crit chance, more money, damage, heals, shields, etc.
