I managed to get the game Drift Streets Japan version 2.6.0 working on my Steam Deck.
Here are the settings I used to get the game running smoothly:

Proton: Proton 9.0-4
Frame Limit: 50 FPS
Disable Frame Limit: Off
Allow Tearing: Off
Half Rate Shading: Off
TDP Limit: 8 Watts
Manual GPU Clock: 800 MHz
Scaling Mode: Auto
Scaling Filter: Sharp
Sharpness: 5

I’ve also customised the game’s controls to better fit the Steam Deck’s button layout. You can find and use this setup in the Community Layouts section under the name “DSJ - Steam Deck Setup.” The game will recognise the controls as if an Xbox 360 controller is connected.
