Welcome to This is no cave. You can have style and keep your momentum throughout a whole level but this will take some training.

For example, one of the first advanced tech is called waveburst: by clicking far away in front and under the player when he is running, your can merge with the floor to gain exponential speed. This is not in the tutorial but you will need to master this if you want to see your nickname displayed at the end of a level.
